The most appealing feature of this hotel is the lovely green area in the center of the building with live trees. The room was fine--standard issue hotel room. The location of the hotel is perfect--Grand Canyon just minutes away.

The price of the room and meals are very much on the high side. We realize this is a tourist area, but $16.25 for a Morningstar Farms veggie burger? Really? A full Thanksgiving Dinner at a restaurant in Grand Canyon Village--including appetizer, full turkey dinner, desert, coffee, soup, etc--was $22--just $6 more than your veggie burger.

The front desk team was very friendly and helpful. The evening meal at the hotel restaurant wasn't busy and the service was superb.

Breakfast buffet was mediocre and not worth the money. Also, it was flooded with foreign visitors, chaotic, and not a pleasant experience. There was only one line to get your food, no trays to put your food, drinks or utensils on. When I returned to the buffet a second time, it took a long time due to the hundreds of Italians and when I returned to my table it was bused and everything was gone. The room was barely acceptable, the carpet was stained and gave us the impression that the room was unclean/unsanitary. The AC unit was covered in dust and unclean.

It was located very conveniently by restaurants, visitor center, and stores. Just a short drive from the national park entrance. The staff was very friendly - special shoutout to Richard at the info desk right by the door! He was very friendly and gave us a VERY DETAILED rundown of things to do in grand canyon, Sedona, and Flagstaff. He even went as far as sending us an email with even more recommendations, links, and all. I highly suggest talking to him if you are staying there. The room was cozy, even with 4 of us + 1 cat staying in the room, it didn't feel too cramped, and we had ready access to parking through our patio door. We only stayed one night, but would love to be back again!

Our bathroom sink did have some drainage problems, but we only stayed one night, so that didn't bring down the experience too much. The room was pretty difficult to locate at first because there were multiple entrances to the rooms, but once we found it, it was really straightforward!

Its a large hotel with a lot of space. Because of its location (near the Grand Canyon) it gets many visitors from overseas which often arrive by tour bus. Despite the tour buses it never really felt crowded. My girlfriend and I had hiked 25k down and back in the Grand Canyon so when we arrived at the hotel I'm sure we could have slept on a bed of rocks and would have been fine. However the bed was very comfortable and the shower very refreshing. There are many restaurant's within walking distance and its the closest place to stay before entering the Grand Canyon park.

I can't say there's much I didn't like. My girlfriend felt the AC unit was a bit loud but then again during our entire trip there has been an issue with the AC. In the sense that, she is from Spain and when its hot there, they typically just deal with it and may turn on the AC a few degrees cooler than the outside temp. Here when it's 100 degrees outside hotels and businesses try to keep the inside temps at 60 degrees. A huge difference so it always feels very cold when going inside. Overall thought the stay was comfortable and we enjoyed a good nights sleep.

The Hotel is very close to the Grand Canyon. So it is possible to see the sunset and sunrise at the Grand Canyon. The Hotel was good, altough a little bit dated. If you just stay there to go to the Grand Canyon I can absolutely recommend it because it is clean and the staff is nice.

The Hotel itself is quite old. They keep it clean though, but the walls are a bit thin and the carpet outdated. The restaurant was closed when we were there, but they offered food in the saloon/bar.

It is located great. You could walk to the rim if you are in a decent shape. In summer very hot and walking a bit uphill. Right in the middle of the town/village. Can’t get closer unless you are in one of the National Parks Lodge. A hot tub in the lobby area that really smells of chlorine. It did not bother us at all but it is a very strong smell within the rooms. A patio that looks over the lobby and hot tub is nice, but again if you are sensitive to a chlorine smell ask fo a further out room. Restaurant was good.

No elevator ( at least we didn’t see one). I would not have used the elevator anyway because I like to walk and steps to me are a form of exercise. The second floor is not hard to get to unless you have mobility issues.

The Grand Canyon Plaza hotel is situated very close in driving distance to the entrance of the South Rim, which is the main reason we chose this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised that we were a stone's throw from the Grand Canyon Visitor Center. We walked across the parking lot to watch the excellent movie about the majesty of the Canyon at the IMAX theater at the Visitor Center. I highly recommend watching the movie. The hotel has a lovely outdoor pool and hot tub. It also features a restaurant and a separate bar on the premises. The lobby is beautifully appointed. The rooms are motel style. Comfortable, simple, and clean.

Breakfast is not included in hotel price.

The room did not look anything like the picture on the Booking.com website. The picture looked much more well appointed. This could be my fault, as I booked a balcony type of room, but requested the ground level with patio door. Our room was dated, but clean and comfortable. We LOVED our balcony door and sat outside to enjoy to cool evenings. Check in was a little difficult. Their computers were down (certainly not their fault) and our receptionist did not speak English well and was hard to understand when answering questions. We enjoyed showing our granddaughter the Grand Canyon and the IMAX was also fun and a close walk. The pool and jacuzzi was very nice and refreshing!

For some reason, the bathroom door would only open half way because it is stopped by the toilet. Strange. Otherwise, everything else was quite nice.

I really enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel. It was perfect for our trip and really fit the aesthetics of the area. The music was perfect in the dining area and I enjoyed looking at all the pottery. The restaurant serves good food and they had a great drink selection in the bar. We ate there for dinner one night and breakfast both mornings. The staff was very nice and accommodating as well.

I wish we would’ve had a room that was connected to the hotel so we didn’t have to go outside to get to the restaurant or the hot tub. Our room was great and super quiet so I was happy with our location, I just wasn’t aware of the detached hotel part when booking the room. I would’ve also liked to have had some caffeine free tea in the room for late night relaxing after a long day at the park.

It's a little tricky to find, tucked away behind the IMAX theater, but otherwise a great location. Clean, spacious rooms which are well-appointed and quiet. Really nice indoor lounge, and all premises are well-maintained and clean. Friendly staff for the most part.

There was some confusion at check-in, and the clerk either didn't understand the issue or didn't care. However, the supervisor stepped in and handled everything quickly and professionally.
