Holiday Inn Express Grand Canyon, an IHG Hotel

The location is superb. It is a few minutes walk to the Visitor centre where you can buy your Grand Canyon Park passes. You can choose to drive to the canyon if you wish but we used the free shuttle buses to get us up to the Grand Canyon and back. The nearest bus stop is just across the road from the hotel. There is a pedestrian crossing. The hotel itself uses two buildings. The main one is for families, while the other, that we stayed in is for adults only. Breakfast was delicious. The lady who manages it all is fantastic. Very welcoming and attentive. The pancake machine is incredible and makes really good pancakes at the push of one button. Parking is free and was plentiful when we went in August.

Staff helpful and polite. Breakfast is plentiful and good choice. Fresh fruit available every day Pool a real bonus after a long day at the Grand Canyon. Lots of towels and good opening times. Bed comfortable and plenty of clean towels room clean. Housekeeping great 5 stars. We will definitely book again for our next tour of the GC

Didn't like the plastic cutlery, I understand that it's not possible to provide proper cutlery, due to the numbers of guests but if they could provide wooden compostable cutlery, it would be great and so much better for the planet. There is no attempt at recycling in the breakfast area with all the paper plates, etc, which seems a great shame I think the holiday Inn needs to try harder with its green credentials.

The location was good because it is close to several places to eat, and souvenirs within walking distance. Location was also within minutes of the best hikes. You can easily get to South Rim trails and see the best views of both sunset and sunrise in less than 10 minutes by car.

Out of the 4 hotels we stayed at on our trip this was the most expensive. There was no additional perks that made it as expensive as it was. The biggest issue is nowhere online or upon check-in did they inform us of the continental breakfast change. Instead of going down and selecting breakfast, we were handed paper bags with pre-bagged items. Items were all the same and therefore gave us no opportunity to select items we could eat with our allergies.

Rooms were clean, bed comfortable. we received clean towels every day which greatly appreciated. Breakfast best we ever had and what made it a pleasure experience was Imelda and Alberto. they were very friendly and eager to assist you in anyway. The are in my book top employees. All staff were friendly and you could tell they enjoyed their jobs. we definitely would stay again. in fact have recommended this hotel to family and friends who plan to travel to Grand Canyon.

Need coffee replaced in room when linens are replace. I could of asked as well. The only other thing and not a complaint but maybe a desk chair for desk.

we were on a long road trip and stayed in many hotels. this was a nice hotel, but priced quite a bit higher than the other places we stayed along the way. i know it was due to its location, being only a few miles away from the grand canyon. even at the high price, we were very pleased with our 2 night stay. the room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. the 1st night we arrived power went out soon after we checked in and was out for about 6 hours. we were told lightning hit a power station. that was a real bummer and we were not given any sort of discount for it, which was also a bummer. the staff was friendly and the breakfast was nicely done. following covid guidelines, it was a "sack breakfast". an orange, juice cup, granola bar and hot breakfast sandwich were included in the bag and we took ours outside to eat while we enjoyed the beautiful weather. we saw an elk grazing on shrubbery by the parking lot outside our bedroom window, which was awesome! overall, we were very satisfied with our 2 night stay.

the price was pretty high, but everything in town was expensive, probably due to its location. i think we should have been given a discount when the power was off for 6 hours. many people packed up and left, so a discount would have been a nice show of appreciation for those who stayed in the dark.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable except the bedding was thin and a little chilly at night( heater set at 72 degrees) . The value was good considering that rooms at the canyon ( 7 miles away ) were over $300 a night. Good parking, friendly staff that took great care in servicing the facility. Kept snow cleared around entries and parking lot( lots of good parking). Good hot breakfast with helpful staff.

This was the most expensive room used out of 8 different hotel stays on our traveling vacation. The quality was not superior to other more affordable choices. Best value near Grand Canyon.

Chris, the front desk manager made my stay pleasant. He deserves high fives for an excellent customer service. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. However besides all activities we decided to hike down in the canyon on the last day. Well it would take us 2 hours after scheduled checkout. Chris extended our checkout and we were not rushed. Thank you Chris! You deserve 10 plus for your customer service. I definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends and everyone who reed this.

Friendly staff and good coffee 🤩

The breakfast was good with multiple food options for the family. I liked the pool and the hot tube that the whole family enjoyed after the long hiking day.

The breakfast ends at 9:30AM. I would like to have it until 10:00AM.

Great staff especially during Breakfast. Desk staff also excellent. 10 mins from Grand Canyon so great location. I always stay at Holiday Inn Express if I can. I'll stay here again if I return and I'll recommend to others if they are visiting the Canyon.

All was nice. Only bad was door latch very loose and also towel bar in bathroom. I did notify about latch.

Great location. Clean, confortable, nice staff. We didn't know there was a pool and a jacuzzi which was a great surprise since it was snowing outside ! Breakfast was good too.

Too bad everything was disposable plastics for breakfast. The hotel is next to one of the most beautiful place in the world, highly protected and welcoming beautiful wildlife. Making their best to limit useless waste should be one of their value. It was disappointing.
