Candlewood Suites - El Dorado, an IHG Hotel

the property was clean and well maintained everything was in working order and the ac in the rooms work fantastically which when it’s 90+ outside is a huge bonus! the water pressure was good in the bathroom and I can tell the site has a great manager because nothing was out of place or wrong with this location, also the staff where so friendly and kind at the front desk, the room really felt like a home away from home and made out vacation so much more enjoyable, plus you can’t beat having a full stocked kitchenette with a full sized fridge in it and a full sized dishwasher plus a two eye cook top!

beds are a little too firm for my liking so you may need some extra pillows, and like I said the ac in the room are VERY effective so you may also need extra blankets

Of our three days of traveling, this was the best hotel that we found. It was comfortable, quiet, clean. It was everything a weary traveler could ask for. The room smelled clean, which is more than I can say for the other two hotel rooms we stayed in. The staff was lovely and personable. We will definitely stay here again if we end up in El Dorado!

I don't think there is anything we didn't like. It was that great of a stay.

Everything about this property was clean and orderly. The room was very spacious and the room temp was just right. The staff was courteous and helpful. We didn’t know where to eat, so the concierge had a list of restaurants that was helpful.

I missed having a breakfast but I know it was spelled out in the description, I just should have realized that wasn’t what I was booking.

Other than the odor, the room was nice. I had a King Suite, it was like a small apartment. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. When I booked my room online through “booking.com”, I accidentally booked a handicap room. The girl at the front desk upgraded me to a king suite for the same low price. That was awesome.

Although I had a great experience with price, and upgrades, I wasn’t so impressed with everything else. I did have to wait on my room. Housekeeping was running behind. My room wasn’t ready after check in…had to wait about an hour or so to get in. My room looked cleaned, but I wouldn’t so sure, because it wasn’t fresh, had a slight odor. I think the air conditioner was on a timer…at bedtime, it stopped cooling. The bed had a dip or sank and was a little uncomfortable.

Very clean… great location… beds were very comfy…..rooms are big… the coffee machine in the lobby needs lots of work… it is just nasty…. The coffee provided in the room for the coffee pot…. It’s just as bad…. other than that we will stay again…. I will bring my own coffee and filters.

It is pet friendly, clean, quiet, easy to find. Free coffee. They have kitchen & nice long counter/desk area in each room. Other cooking appliances are available in the lobby as well as games & books.

No breakfast

The room was nice however the air kept cutting off while we were sleeping. I also was charged twice for my room even though I had pre-paid for my room. This is still pending with the hotel staff.

We absolutely were thrilled with the room amenities! It was like a home away from home. Everything was spotless! The front desk employees were wonderful and helpful (because I had never stayed in a hotel like this before I had questions😁) Laundry was free and next to the gym so it was wonderful to be able to multi task. We will be looking for places like this in the future!

The hotel was centrally located. The hotel was very nice, with spacious and clean rooms.

My 2 complaints are 1st when checking in the young lady could not find my booking.com reservation. 2nd the thermostat was confusing.

Overall it was an okay stay.

The Candlewood suites were a little pricey for the rooms, they didn't have a visitors guide like most normal hotels do for "out of towners" so we had to find our own stuff to do around town. They didn't give us a copy of a receipt for staying, had to call back for them to email it to me. For the price they should include at least a breakfast.
