Samantha's Timber Inn

The Thomas truck room was so fun. my kiddo really enjoyed it. It was close to the diamond mine, downtown, and the KaDoAh Indian village. Lots of log trucks passing by and would give honks to our kid which was so fun. There was a microwave and Keurig coffee maker available. Clean linens and stout water pressure which my husband loved.

We would have liked a fly swatter and napkins/paper towels to clean up behind ourselves a little better. But there was a Dollar store close by for anything we really needed. There is also a fire pit and grill but beware of the numerous fire ant hills. They were everywhere. One step in one of those could really ruin a nice vacation!

beautiful property, inside and out! booking was easy, motel has its own website for reservations. the room was homey and fairly extravagant, the smell of fresh wood from the new interior walls, the elegant furniture and extremely comfortable bed as well, beautiful comforter (quilt) and clean sheets with a fluffy burgundy blanket, fluffy pillows. a nice dining table with two chairs, coffe station aside roomy bathing room (the sink bowl very pretty!), refrigerator and microwave, sensitive touch lamps and two ceiling fans, jacuzzi tub and electric fireplace to delight and romanticize, satellite TV with many apps (Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, etc,) and Pluto TV ( loved Chive TV the best!), many selections of coffee pod types including decaf, sugar/ cream, table / Splenda sweeteners, very nice coffee cups, two elegant sitting chairs. Plenty of drawer space for a long stay with the chest of drawers and mirrored bureau, simply beautiful decorations in room and bath, large mirror. ironing board and broom/ dustpan. Wraparound exterior deck has awesome planking and a large cut log smooth finish and varnish bench snd large coffee table, a covered barbecue center, fire pit and picknick table. Flowers of all types abound in the surrounding grounds, spacious parking for vehicles and trailers with fresh pavement snd striping, handicap parking and deck access for wheelchairs, rubbish bins across office, great large two access entrance from the roads for easy pull through and turnaround. Air and heat function perfectly within spacious room. Five Gold Stars for the entire Samantha’s Timber Inn experience!!! And don’t forget a Dollar General, Dollar Tree / Family Dollar, Exxon with Pizza Hut / Baskin Robbins, Sonic Drive Inn and trailer order drive posts, Telinga’s Mexican Restaurant ( awesome cuisine!!) beautiful interior.

The room and furnishings were very nice. High quality. A big step up from chain hotel stuff. Nicely decorated. Good TV, good AC, good mini fridge, etc. The jacuzzi tub was a plus. Bed was instantly sleep inducing and blissful. Great location for Crater of Diamonds. I also like that there are just a few rooms and a streamlined check in process so it feels somewhat like an AirBNB but with the conveniences of a hotel. It was a great fit for me.

No shower was personally not great for me. The tub worked perfectly but I'm a shower guy. The only other thing was the toilet being 3 feet from the bed with no real separation. It wasn't an issue for me being solo but I wouldn't want to share that with anyone. It would make for some uncomfortable 3AM wakeups amongst other things.

Traveling with friends so we had 2 rooms. They were both exceptionally clean and comfortable. The decor in each room was amazing and so fun to see. Each room is beautiful pine and has it’s own theme; ours was Coca Cola (3) and theirs was automotive (2). They are more like suites than rooms. We will definitely stay there again and we hope you do too.

We loved the property. The sign along the road does say restaurant, so that was a little confusing since there was no restaurant there.

Location was great. Super quiet, easy to find, easy access. Room was really big and decorated super nice. There was some construction going on outside but the guys were super nice and wanted to make sure they were not in our way. AC worked great. Spa tub was the best! Enjoyed everything about our stay for the most part.

Bed was too soft for me but still comfortable. If you NEED privacy and a shower this is not your room. (Room 5, Wild West). The others have separate bathroom but the spa tub was worth it! Not much choice to eat in town and the town shuts down pretty early but it was such an enjoyable place!

Huge room. Decorated very nicely. High end furniture. Great location to the Diamond Mine.

it had a Jacuzzi but no shower. While the jacuzzi was nice it was very difficult to get out of since my husband and I are elderly. The second night I couldn’t get out by myself and my husband had to actually lift me out. He ended up taking a sponge bath instead. The bed had a very nice but was very high. We fortunately had a small stool I used to get in bed.

Exquisitely decorated and inviting and comfortable! Super clean and inviting! From the sunken tub uou could see under the bed and dressers and not a speck of dust or dirt in sight! The fireplace next to the sunken hot tub was so cozy! Complete with a Keurig and coffee pods and creamers! Plenty of towels and extra pillows! The sheets are bright white and appear brand new! Large flatscreen TV on a swivel hanger!!! Wow we have never been so impressed! And we travel a lot! My husband is a Disabled Veteran and we went Diamond hunting for Veterans Day and will definitely come back to this amazing treasure again!

No cell service in that area so I had troubles receiving my text message from Property Manager with instructions for key retrieval. Once inside we had access to WiFi 😍

Loved the boat theme and the bunk beds in a separate room from master bedroom. Small kitchenette was helpful. Very easy access to ka do ha indian mounds and diamond state park. We enjoyed the mexican restaurant down the street.

Upon arriving, the outside highway sign kind of made it look like the rooms were closed.

We love the Wild West Theme. The room was very clean, comfortable bed just a little high for us short ladies. All types of coffee and what goes with it. Even real glass cups. Will always stay here if we ever decide to dig for diamonds again.

That the bathroom was not in a room to its self

Things to add o our room. (1 ) A desk or table with chairs that can put computer on ( 2 ) A small refrigerator ( 3 ) An easy chair in living room ( 4 ) Foot stool or hassock in front of sofa ( 5 ) MUST do a much better job of mowing and landscaping the property!
