The owner/staff was very helpful and friendly. I liked that there was a hot water pot for heating water, a refrigerator, coffee pot and microwave. The bed was very comfortable. There is fan and operable windows but no AC. There is heat. There was a propane grill that could be used by each room and a fire pit. Large lawn with horseshoes pit. The owner helped set things up so we could clean our fish.

These are old cinderblock cabins and the space is small. If you spend a lot of time in your room you may be uncomfortable. If you like brand new, then this is not for you. But it fit our needs perfectly.

These lodges were a lot better than we expected. We arrived late because of a closed road at Bodie but check in was easy as keys were already in a box. The place was spotless, very clean. Because we needed a permit for Yosemite and didn't have one we left very early to be at Yosemite before 6. The location for Yosemite is perfect and we'd probably sleep here again if we need to get into Yosemite as it's really close to Tioga Road so I can imagine spending 2 nights here just to check out the first part of Tioga Road. Restaurants are close by and staff was friendly.

Only a few downsides. The room was a little cramped. We booked a room with 2 queen beds and were traveling with 2 kids. There's not a lot of space to move around so we were restricted to the beds. There is also no airconditioning. We didn't need it when we stayed there because we slept with the windows open and it had cooled down a lot because of a big thunderstorm. However, at 1 at night there is a lot of noise from traffic, its as if every truckdriver in the area decided to haul their stuff at midnight. These were minor issues, compared to other places in the area this one offers a lot of value for money.

The proprietor was very nice and hospitable. We asked for some extra coffee and tea and he dropped off an assortment of teas as well as some coffee from their personal supply. We arrived just after some extended winter storms and there were several feet of snow on the ground. They had cleared plenty of parking for us. This is a family-owned place and the owners obviously want it their guests to have an enjoyable stay.

The only issue was with the thermostat. We had to fiddle with it to get it to work, but once we got that fixed, the rest of the stay was very nice.

Beautiful location, comfortable dog-friendly accommodations in historic cabins from the ’50s. We are in our 60s and used our cabin as a base camp for hiking and kayaking in the Bridgeport area. We had a comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower, and a way to store and prepare simple meals with the refrigerator and microwave! The host/owner is taking over the family business and raising his family on-site- he’s super friendly and helpful. No charge for our two small pups! Definitely will recommend this to others wanting to explore the area. We hope to return!

People planning longer stays, like us, should be aware these small rooms don't have much counter space or storage so plan accordingly when packing! No complaints!

This was a very basic room but was just what we needed. If you are used to or want a Hilton don't go here. We like to camp but are getting older. This room was clean and rustic but had everything we needed. A good sized small fridge, a microwave and a table and a barbecue and table outside the room. We loved the firepit provided outside. Our pets were welcomed and the temporary staff were kind and nice to us. Our toilet broke and they promptly fixed it. There is no air conditioning but the room cools off at night. It is a bargain in an expensive area and I would go back in a flash.

It is not the lodges fault but hwy 395 is right out front. The noise is not great but the view is amazing. We just shut our window at night and I had luckily brought ear plugs. I would not let this deter me. The cabins are set back. The place is a little gem.

It was very clean and not in an "antiseptic, chemical" way; clean as in "cared for, cleaned and maintained in an on-going" way. It felt like the kind of clean you have in your own home when you clean well. Appreciated extras like plenty of lamps, good-sized refrigerator with good-sized freezer area, thank you for the wall-mounted magnifying mirror in the bathroom! the guest soaps and shampoos were an unexpected amenity, there is a screen door so you could have fresh air in the room without worrying about any bugs flying in. Ample plugs for charging your electronics. There was a nightlight in the bathroom so that was also very much appreciated. I was very satisfied with the room and the property. I would definitely stay there again; it was delightful and a better experience than I expected. The bed was very comfortable and the room was a very comfortable size. I had already read that, though there was a refrig/freezer and microwave, that there was no sink in the kitchen area so I brought a very small dishpan to wash my dishes, being very conscious of disposing of any tiny food scraps into the wastebasket instead so as not to have any of it go down the drain. The toilet area of the bathroom is a bit cramped, but otherwise everything was great.

There was a bit of difficulty contacting the property with some questions I had. They eventually contacted me and everything worked out great, but I was a bit worried not hearing from them as my check-in date was in less than 48 hours. It sounded like this was an unusual circumstance and isolated incident and that they otherwise have excellent communication.

The owner (John) and the staff were excellent and willing to go above and beyond to make our stay the best. They let us get a late check out which helped with our travel plans. They also offered extra electrical hook ups at no additional charge. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Not the hotels fault, but the people in the room next to us were nasty smokers and would smoke outside our front door and window, so we had to keep them shut. When I tried to talk with the discussing smoking people, they were from France and did not speak English. One of the great parts about Bridgeport is the fresh clean smelling air.

We stayed in the king room which was more like a small cabin as it was set apart from the rest. Perfect for two people and a small dog! Had everything you need, TV with tons of channels, microwave, frig, coffee maker, full bathroom and comfortable bed. Everything was very clean. There’s BBQs for guest use conveniently located right outside your room, both charcoal and propane. Manager Jonathon was awesome as he provided a double burner hot plate for us (made some breakfast burritos in our room) before we headed out hiking for the day. We also loved using the communal fire pit each night of our stay. They have fire wood and lounge chairs to relax in and enjoy a warm fire and beautiful scenery. Our new go to place to stay in Bridgeport, we can’t wait to go back. Friendly owners, great location, comfortable stay, you cannot ask for more!

Very welcoming, personal and communications were great. Met my needs passing through from Tahoe to Mammoth. Very well priced and comfortable. Expectations should not be luxury, it was a great value option on a Saturday night with a comfortable, clean room with all the basics (Wifi, TV, communication and hospitality) well covered. Just outside of downtown Bridgeport (~2 blocks downtown) provides incredible Sierra views outside your doorstep.

New owners took over a few months ago after a death in the family. They are EXTREMELY GRACIOUS and generous. Invited us to their family 4th of July BBQ, and checked in with us several times to see if we needed anything. The cabins are older/brick based, but very comfortable. We have stayed here before and will definitely be back! They are also pet friendly which is great because we travel with our labrador❤🐾
