Frazier View Motel

Comfortable bed. Beautiful power, recliner, microwave, cold, AC.

Small coffee pot could use a cleaning, but I ran hot water through it three times. getting on the Wi-Fi was a little difficult because there were four different choices and I had to go through there before I found one at work for the code. Only when I look for next morning at the little welcome binder with trails, restaurants, etc. did it suggest switch Wi-Fi to use for which room but that one didn’t work one of the other ones was the one that worked. But that only took about five minutes of frustration before I got on the Wi-Fi. 

The motel is in a small town and check in was by text message with a code to the door. Opening the door took a few tries, but we figured it out. Though the outside of the motel was a little tired looking, the inside was surprisingly great for an inexpensive place to spend the night. The room was a nice size, very clean and included several thoughtful touches. I appreciated the comfortable bed, A/C that worked on a 96 degree day (though the fan was a little noisy, I slept all night), desk and desk chair with arms, USB ports for charging, WiFi that worked, coffee maker (and tea, cups and napkins), fridge and microwave, and bedside lamps. The bathroom tile looked very nice--like it was recently done and hooks for hanging towels, etc. I didn't expect the added bonuses of a comfy electric reclining chair, 2 folding chairs and a small folding table to take onto the porch (weather permitting-there is a view of the mountains), more handy hooks conveniently near the sink that we used to hang our toiletry bags and some clothes, and a nice long bench under the hooks for luggage. All at a very reasonable price. The Mexican restaurant, La Sierra was delicious for dinner and breakfast, the staff was friendly and it was just a short walk away. The restaurant accommodated our friend's gluten-free requirements and packed the meals to go for our 30 minute drive up Mt. Pinos to the Nordic Base Camp, where astronomy enthusiasts gather with their telescopes (and most come in RVs) to see the stars during the new moon! We will be back!

We didn't come prepared with our TV streaming passwords, so we couldn't watch TV, but we ended up not having time to watch it anyway. It was mentioned on the website, but we forgot to bring the codes.

The price/value ratio for Frazier View is quite high. It has been many years since we have paid such a low price for a night at a motel, but everything was great. The room was not fancy by any means, but it supplied everything we needed for a one night stay.

This was the first time we had stayed at a place that uses a "contactless" check-in procedure where you do not go to a lobby and give them your i.d. and credit card. Because we had pre-paid for the room, they just texted us the code to unlock the door to our specific room. So while the process is somewhat impersonal, it worked fine and we had no problems.

I'll be honest. I chose this motel because it was relatively cheaper than others in the area so I didn't expect much. Well, from the moment I clicked PURCHASE, my entire experience from the moment I reserved the room to the moment I arrived and checked out was beyond my expectation. I was texted by the motel's employee. I was going to arrive late--after midnight, in fact. Having access into my room was so easy. It is keyless entry. There is a keypad to enter the room. I entered the room and saw how beautiful it was. The bed was nice and clean. There was a nice size flat screen TV. There was a mini fridge. Several accessible power strips. Free accessible wifi. And, the pièce-de-résistance, an electric reclining leather chair. For the bathroom, toilet and bathtub (with shower head) were clean and had good water pressure. I appreciated that there was a hairdryer.

Toilet paper was eh....

Don't let the "motel" fool you. They bill themselves as an AirB&B style motel. Contactless registration, all the amenities one would find in a motel room plus touches of a home. Even have a small folding table and chairs if one wants to dine in and a large recliner. We stayed in room 11 and it had been refurbished, large very clean bathroom. Host is on site and was very responsive to our one issue with TV. Great internet and Roku TV It was a very pleasant surprise to find this gem. Will return.

This vintage motel in the heart of Frazier Park has been wonderfully remodeled and updated, with nice clean furnishings, a good sized fridge and microwave, and even a reclining lounger! I appreciated the simple “Airbnb” style check-in/out with keypad code, and responsive staff reachable by text. I love the Frazier Park area and have stayed at local Airbnbs before, though this place is perfect for a quick or last minute stay, and certainly beats the noise, lights, and lodging next to I-5 in Lebec. Definitely plan to return!

Quiet, clean and with really comfy mattress, firmer than old spring beds usually have in other Motels. Really awesome price to value ratio. The room is small, but when you need to spend a calm night and move on, it's perfect.

The mountain view mentioned on booking.com is not that awesome, especially from rooms in the ground floor - it's just a plain steep hill to be honest.

We booked this unseen, it had snowed when we arrived! The room was very cozy and warm and immaculately clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. We were greeted by the manager while unloading our car and she could not have been more welcoming and friendly. She had us make sure the room was perfect before she left and also gave us ideas for eating near by. In fact when we did go and eat she arrived with her parents to eat there also. Although this is an older motel it was a very pleasant stay.

The weather!

I liked the fact that this motel was very quiet, and away from the city noise, the motel was very clean, and was perfect for our short stay. Owner was helpful. A perfect spot to visit state parks and lakes around the area.Overall I would recommend this spot to friends and family.

The restroom had no working fan in restroom, the recliner made the room a little crowded.

The photos represent exactly how the room looked. There is a homey feel to it, little touches here and there. The check in was the easiest I’ve ever encountered. Quiet area. No thrills just what’s needed. Hot water, some free movies, fridge, microwave, nice comfy recliner.

There weren’t many options for tv programs unless I signed into a personal account.
