Best Western Plus Humboldt House Inn

Hotel is being refurbished. The room was clean. The bed is the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in, including my own. perfectly located for day trips through Avenue of the Giants, Eureka and even Crescent City. Breakfast was ok. 6am-9am. Local food places close up early, but head 5 min out of town to Redway for hearty meal. Front desk can tell you.

The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Nice balcony. The breakfast was amazing with omelets, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bagels, toast, cool pancake machine, fruit, cereal and juices. Conveniently located near the redwoods and the Avenue of the Giants.

Many transient folks wondering at night. Really small town.

The bed was comfortable, but the hide-a-bed was uncomfortable to sit on. Nice shower Good water pressure and good shower head

I didn't like the Direct TV and I didn't like that they didn't have a microwave in the room. Ditch the Direct TV and get Hulu and put microwaves in the rooms is what I suggested.

Breakfast had a better selection than expected during COVID times. We had a choice of hot foods and also packaged items to take out if breakfast in our room was preferred. The room was spacious and clean. Walking distance to restaurants. Easy parking.

The only negative was that the front desk was understaffed consistently, though most were gracious and helpful. Understand it's hard to find workers. The hotel must have been unusually busy as rooms were sold out and prices were higher than what one would expect for the area for that weekend.

close to giant redwoods and poolside room on first floor was nice for getting the end of day sunshine. staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

I checked in at 11:30 pm ish on Friday there was drug use activity in the parking lot and right next to my room. the night manager took care of it and the issue never happened again.

Vickie is wonderful, we had a mishap with our reservation, and she was able to get it worked out.The rooms are nice and roomy, and the staff is very friendly. The food truck across the street has really good tacos!

Good location and amazing room with balcony

there is only one elevator serving the building so if your room is towards the end of the lobby; be ready to walk with your luggage from the open carpark to the elevator and back to your room even if you are parked just under your room

Breakfast was hosted and setup was very good. Many choices, and guests were allowed to take out fruit, etc., for the day ahead.

There was apparently a very loud bar very close. We had to turn up the room fan unit to eliminate most of the noise, but it was still audible.

I liked that it is right off the Avenue of the Giants and pretty easy to get to. They had really good nighttime tea, and our balcony had a little table and two chairs.

Better coffee. Less transients. It did seem a bit overpriced.

They had a wine/cheese hour from 5-7pm which was a welcome surprise. The breakfast spread was pretty decent. Bed was comfortable and most of all they are pet-friendly with no extra charge for the pet.

The queen suite did not even have a microwave.
