Location, amazing view, pool, very quiet place, microvave, fridge, sink, decent hair dryer, good quality toiletries, clean, good AC

QR room key requires internet connection every time, which is very problematic for travelers from abroad, because foreign mobile networks don't always work in US, and there is no office to go to check in. Quite hard to find because of very poorly visible signs- both taxi driver and uber couldn't find it even with navigation.

The views were gorgeous, the rooms were spacious and the bed was extremely comfy.

I wish the pool was up and running, that was disappointing that I couldn’t use it and only found out when I arrived and walked past the pool rather than being told in advanced.

Great location in the Hollywood Hills, clean and spacious room, nice pool with an amazing view. A little kitchen with a refrigerator was helpful to store drinks, microwave items etc. L’occitane products in the bathroom. We had a balcony with a great view of the city. Hollywood is sign on the hill opposite the property - we couldn’t see it from our room but I’m sure you could from higher floors - we were on 2nd floor. Great value so close to the walk of fame.

No pool towels and the room towels were quite small

I picked this place for the price, location and view. My room was spacious and clean and I had a balcony where I saw the sunrise in the morning. It's barebones but newly renovated and it felt very clean. There was a really nice cafe on the property at the top of the hill and the food and drink selection was amazing - that cafe ended up being the best part of my stay there. I had a hard time finding the gate - after I found it, it was obvious - it's beside the mailboxes to the left when you're standing at the car entrance at the top. There's an HHH sign but I missed it the first time. I called the number they gave me and someone responded immediately helping me find my room and answering any questions.

Solo female traveller. At night it's quiet, dark, and secluded at the top of a hill so take an Uber if you are arriving at night. Or if you have heavy luggage get a ride to this place that hill is no joke in the heat. I see pix on their website with women in fancy shoes strolling their luggage up the hill - not me! When I stayed there was no safe in the room so I ended up taking my laptop to dinner with me. Felt like a hybrid between an AirBnB and a hotel with the self check in which was different.

Stayed for 10 nights and it was real hollywood vibes! Waking up and having breakfast on the balcony with a great view of LA, we can see both city and the Griffith/ Hollywood sign side. Sheets are clean, pillows are soft and netflix/wifi is okay. If you don’t mind walking uphill/downhill or just taking an uber, it is 10 mins walk to hollywood blv. Also center of touristy attractions. I was worried at first reading the reviews, but it is not creepy, even when we arrived 10pm. It’s easy to find the room (there are numbers to follow) and room key is in your phone which is very convenient (than loosing/forgetting a keycard). No reception but housekeeping comes every 2 days. No elevator but we didn’t mind carrying the luggages check in and out.

The shower temperature is not easy to adjust, either too hot or too cold. The part of the floor that is wood is not clean and sticky. The only restaurant(Yamashiro) nearby is open to public so you’ll have to reserve to dine (which is very popular and crowded). Don’t bother.

Private. Comfortable bed. Great views. When we were unhappy with first room due to very noisy gym below us, we were quickly given a new room. Early check-in & late check-out. The Griddle for breakfast & Yamashiro for dinner = convenient. Staff responded to texts quickly.

No coffee maker. No onsite guest services or lobby. A bit run down and dirty.

Room was clean and spacious. Had a kitchen and nice amenities.

Check in and out was all done without seeing or talking to a person. We talked to a stranger to find out about parking and not parking on the property was not an option. As it was we had a long walk from the parking to our room. There was also no elevator and we had to haul luggage up and down stairs. We couldn't figure out how to get water in the shower and when we called the help number it said don't bother us unless this is an emergency. Then we wanted ice and needed it before they started answering the phone. I walked up the hill and asked at the little Cafe and they gave me ice.

Amazing views, very romantic. Mid century modern apartment style hotel with easy automated check in and free parking that fit my truck. Made me and my BF feel like celebrities with our own spot in the Hills for a weekend. LGBT and black friendly property. Great shopping nearby. The attached restaurant was really cool, check it out it’s an early 20th century faux Shinto Shrine on a hilltop with a great Japanese whiskey selection, beautiful architecture and sweeping views from the LA skyline to the Pacific Ocean. Hotel is located on a steep hillside hidden in a residential neighborhood, be sure to review arrival instructions carefully to avoid confusion.

very spacious room and close to Hollywood. bed was extremely large. had a kitchenette which was handy, fridge and microwave. good value for money. staff answered questions I had in the booking.com chat. it’s very peaceful and quiet in the area and great views from the balcony. Don’t expect the Hilton but very clean and does the job.

- pillows too high (personal preference) - ask staff in advance if you want to use the pool as it was closed when we were there but it didn’t bother us - walking to town at night from the hotel can be dangerous as it’s very dark, no street lights and can be slippery as you walk downhill - mobile phone QR keyroom meant you need mobile data/ wifi to use it every time to open the door as there is no physical key
