I absolutely loved the location - within a stone's throw away from the bustling nightlife in West Hollywood, The Grove, and other must-see sights. The room was quite comfortable, albeit a bit dark. The staff were very nice and friendly.

The centralised air conditioning was a bit of a bummer. Also as this is along Melrose Ave, and faces the street, expect some noise. Although there is nothing that can be done, the parking clearance was much lower than usual. Lastly, I got charged for the mini bar item, which I didn't consume. Please note that this was eventually reversed, but it was weird that that happened.

Great location and friendly staff. The hotel is nicely designed with a lot of thought put into the decor. The bed was comfortable if a bit too soft.

The lighting in the room could be better - lots of cute lights that gave off a direct blinding light without really illuminating the room - and our ground floor room facing the street left us without a usable view. There wasn't much room to hang or fold our clothes so everything stayed in the suitcase. Maybe a smaller couch and a chest of drawers or closet instead? One night we were awaked at around 12:30 am by cold air blowing in our faces. It turned out the AC had been turned on because one of the rooms had asked for it and they are all on the same system - no independent climate control. Our room was quickly freezing. The person at the desk turned it back off for us but this is clearly a problem that needs to be solved.

finding a reasonably priced hotel in west hollywood is a challenge and the hotel met it. The location was convinent to ride and if you spend your day outside them most likely you will find parking on the street and can avoid the vallet. Location is close to the farmers market and other attractions. as I was not feeling secure in LA as a whole, I am not really sure how secure is the area though we did see single woman walking (which is typically a good sign)

The aircondition in the room is shared with a 2nd room. it was freezing and each noght we had to ask the staff to turn it off as you can't control it from your own room

This is a very cute hotel. It has an older vibe, but it was still charming. The bed and pillows were VERY comfortable, which is the most important part. The room was very clean and the hotel staff was so nice. There is a fully stocked mini bar with snacks in the room as well. It’s very over priced, but if you’re in a pinch and want a snack, it’s nice to have. They had a restaurant and bar in the lobby that we didn’t get to order at but would try out next time. We would definitely come back here again.

The only 3 things I wasn’t crazy about, but aren’t dealbreakers: 1. The private parking was expensive, $25 per night plus $5 parking tax. But I think there is permit parking in the neighborhood so it’s likely the only option. 2. The room faced the street, which was fine, but the windows were all blurred out, probably for privacy, so you couldn’t really look out the windows. Felt more like the windows you might have in a bathroom at the top of the wall. 3. Didn’t care for the carpet, it felt a little old and I always wonder how clean carpet is. Would prefer a hotel room with no carpet, feels cleaner to me.

Great place to stay, location-wise and overall. The staff was amazing and friendly. My only 2 bones to pick are the lighting and the lack of control of the room temperature. First the lighting - clearly a man designed these hotels and didn't give any thought to folks need to apply makeup in a well-lit environment. I get the whole aesthetic of the property to have soft, moody lighting, but it's just not functional in practice. I had two nights where I needed to apply makeup and it was nearly impossible to get the right light to apply it seamlessly. I spent so much time turning lights off and on, adjusting the angles of each light, and going from mirror to mirror to find the right light. It was almost comical the struggle it was! In my opinion, a simple fix would be to install a well lit mirror in the bathroom. That's all we need is just one well lit room place to get ready. Secondly, the room temperature is controlled from the outside, where, you need to contact the front desk to adjust for you. This system worked fine until my last night there and I woke up to the AC blowing so high it was extremely cold. I submitted my request for an adjustment and followed up with a phone call to the front desk, but no one answered I had to get out of bed and go down to find someone to let them know of my request. I understand what may be a cost saver for them, but this was the first hotel room I've ever stayed in where i did not have control of my room temperature and it was a bit of a pain. Other than that, and overall VERY happy with my stay. Thanks for keeping your guests safe and healthy during this tough time.

This hotel was adorable! I loved the uniqueness of the rooms. We had the suite and there was a lot of space and a large table for us to use. It almost felt like a room and a parlor. The bathroom was large and adorable and we had a little balcony to enjoy. We didn't get to use the courtyard or the restaurant, but they both looked great as well. Great location near lots of little shops. Comedy clubs nearby had a good selection of performers. As many others had mentioned, you don't have controls for the AC in your room. Our room was freezing the first night (and the bathroom was warm) but the temperature didn't bother me once I was under the blankets. I'm short so it was a little difficult to get in and out of the tall bathtub and there wasn't much room to store your things. They did keep a $200 extra hold on my card, but it dropped off after about 72 hours which is standard practice.

The Pali hotel is in a beautiful location in los angeles. The bar/restaurant is attached to the hotel where many of the locals go for brunch and food outside of hotel guests. The people working the check in front desk were extremely kind and personable, and the hotel itself is designed in a unique eccentric way. As seen in photos! There is central air/heat, so you do have to refer to the front desk if your room gets too cold or hot, but they assist you right away.

Hotel has a great atmosphere, and brilliantly decorated. The location was great too, and a huge bonus that it had parking. The staff were all incredible and resolved any issues instantly (had a toilet problem and AC stopped working). There was one member of staff that we failed to get his name, but he was always so happy and constantly asked us if we were OK and if we needed anything.

The room was a little small with zero storage. It would have been nice to hang up some clothes, or put some away in drawers rather than living out of our suitcase for a week.

very cool: great decor, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff.

it’s in an older building with an old AC system: we would complain it was too cold in our room, at the same time people complained it was too hot in theirs. they were very obliging turning it off and on, but then you’d either roast or freeze. I’d stay there again but they need to upgrade the air con.

The location on Melrose is great, the breakfast restaurant has some of the best breakfast we’ve ever had, the decor is really nice, bed is comfortable and shower pressure is perfect! Would love to go back!

There were very small things that would’ve made the stay perfect like having a thermostat or boiler in the room or a discount at the cafe.
