Residence Inn by Marriott Newark Silicon Valley

I've stayed at this hotel many times and I have to say that the staff have always been exceptional. Other than that the location is also good with many places to eat close by.

The breakfast was limited but ok. I am only speaking from the point of view of the hot food. The cold options looked good. I did like the premade options that are now provided, but only having two to choose from plus scrambled eggs or a waffle felt limiting.

Loved having a full well-stocked kitchen, large sized studio, great view from the 5th floor, stylish art and furniture and especially the large office desk and chair, which made working remotely very comfy! Also loved how kind the reception was in assisting me with items I forgot at home and accommodating late check-out. Was surprised at the quality and quantity of the breakfast, they actually had hot items that were tasty and didn't run out until the very end of breakfast time! Really loved this stay and hope the prices can continue to stay affordable so I can come back to stay here - can't recommend this place enough!

The front desk and the staff are top level at thier job. All shifts and all staff are great. I think I even spoke with the manager as well and they are incredible. I been here for about 1 month or so and they are consistent. I highly recommend.

There is nothing to dislike

Was here for a 60th Anniversary event. Party chose this hotel for attendees. We were greeted with smiling faces Lupe&Jocelyn(check in and check.out). Hotel was extremely clean& welcoming. Rooms were very nice and quiet. We loved hotel and our stay. Even the emails we received prior to our arrivals were Amazing!

The breakfast was good for the circumstances-COVID-19. The breakfast staff was great!

I was approached by front desk when I was smoking in a designated smoking area, saying the a resident had complained. I told him that I was a paying guest too, and had a right to smoke in the designated smoking area. This was absurd!!

The hotel is very clean and very quiet. plus, the staff is very professional and extremely helpful. Excellent breakfast and located a few feet from a shopping center.

Once food finished in the breakfast area they were very slow in bringing more out. Selection should be better.

I liked that it was walking distance to a plaza with food and sprouts and across the street from Safeway. Made our stay a lot cheaper without having to eat out every night.

Not much that I didn’t like but our room did have a tile that was not sticking to the baseboards and kept falling. Other than that all was good and I would stay here again.

Sofa bed could be more comfortable. been to a couple of marriot residence inn and they should buy brand new sofa beds.

Everthing was nice, rooms are clean, rooms are well equiped with dishes and all. Quiet and peaceful. Close to many grocery stores and restuarants to eat.

Breakfast was provided due to COVID yet room price was still the same advertised on website as "Breakfast included". Its OK not to provide Breakfast but then could have dropped room price by $10 per day. Also, both times I stayed here, I saw the Hotel Manager (seems like an Asian lady) fighting and yelling loudly at other hotel customers in lobby itself. Both times I heard the issue and the issues were not even major, could have easily resolved with a room swap or some polite words. She was not ready to make any adjustments for the customers facing the issue. "My way high way" attitude will ONLY bring the reputatuion on this hotel down slowly but steadily.
