Best Western PLUS La Mesa San Diego

I had to do a early check in and this young lady by the Name of Aia/ Lea made it happen and was very helpful.

My room was a little to close to elevator and room to house keeping. Keep hearing doors closing little to loud.

the location was close to everything, the customer service was great and the breakfast selection was fabulous. it was fully stocked at all times and the lady managing the breakfast was so friendly and helpful!

checkout time was 12pm and we were waiting for a ride. housekeeping knocked on the door to remind us about that at 11:30 and I said we would be out by noon. Than at 12:45 the front desk called and reminded us about the checkout time and once again I told them we would be out by noon since we were waiting for our ride. we usually leave much earlier than the time we have to but today was an exception for us and we felt like we were doing something wrong even though we had until 12pm.

Room was an upgrade. Very nice. Breakfast had a lot of choices.

Booking.com didn't send our reservation to this hotel. They had no idea about the reservation...front desk Assistant Amanda was fabulous, but called twice with no return call, so I then called the main customer service # and after 20 minutes of waiting, the issue was resolved. First time I have ever had difficulty with a reservation through your company...

This is a well-situated property, located close to dining and shopping. Although it's just off the freeway, it's relatively quiet. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and it was nice to have a warm breakfast in the morning.

There were some loud girls down the hallway at 10 pm, presumably in the hall yelling and running around. I would have liked for the gym/workout room to be open at 5 am when I was ready to use it, rather than at 6 am, as I was ready to have breakfast and checkout. The water pressure in the shower was poor, and it took a long time (by the time of the second person's shower) for the water to get hot. I'm pretty sure the toiletries in the bath had been used by a previous guest, as they weren't sealed or full. And I don't think the eggs in the morning were really eggs; they tasted like they were made with a powder.

Room was next to breakfast room and was very noisy in the morning.

food area was clean and server was kind and friendly. Breakfast was presented well and food was good. Got good coffee here each day (since coffee maker in my room was broken).

Price of room was way over cost for what I received. Coffee machine in room was broken-water spilled all over. No wastebasket in room-called to ask for one and was told since hotel is "full" not certain he could provide one. What!? He finally found one and did bring to room. I asked for extra towels and was told I would have to exchange a "dirty" one for a clean one. Finally got extra towels from the male maid days later. Was very kind and generous.

We arrived about 2am and there was 2 cop cars blocking just inside the parking lot which made me very hesitant to stay more then the first night. During check in I asked what was happening outside and the lady at the front desk said she had noticed a guy creeping around the vehicles so she called the police. It made me feel a lot better know the staff was paying attention and would take action when needed.

The front desk staff was really friendly, I liked the cookies and coffee available in the lobby. The location was convenient in the suburb of La Mesa. I liked the free parking and rooms were clean.

I did find a few ants near the sink of the bathroom, which I quickly got rid of. I was there for a short stay and didn't think it was enough of an issue for me to mention it to the front desk. The location was convenient for a last minute booking.

Best staff.. excellent service.. best breakfast ever… hot tub wasn’t hot.. pool was down for half of my 7 day stay.. booked it to have nice pool n hot tub with wife .. but nice staff .. didn’t get upgrade I paid for .. but think it was taken off ..

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful with a reservation mix-up. Breakfast was very good, plenty of coffee, bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes and muffins Location was convenient for all the activities Room was clean and extra-large size was comfortable

Common areas were not completely clean, you could tell housekeeping was short staffed and they were focusing on the rooms and not the common areas. Fitness equipment was in poor shape, with both the treadmill and bike not working Room air conditioner was incredibly loud and obnoxious.
