Hilton Santa Cruz Scotts Valley

The pool was awesome, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was beautiful and perfect for what we wanted. Plus dog friendly is a plus!

After changing a 2 night trip to 1 day, they lost the reservation and wanted to charge us for a no show, fortunately we had emails to prove that we changed the reservation, so that was fixed, but a bit frustrating nonetheless. We had upgraded the room to a king, paid a bit more when booking, and was given 2 queens. Which was disappointing, but we made it work. The room definitely could have been cleaned a bit better, for $300+ a night, I was a bit surprised to see so much dust collected by the night stands, small (easily washed off) stains on the door, dog hair on the carpets, tears in the shower curtain, and mold forming on the picture in the bathroom. Overall, room was comfy enough but thought it could use a little spring cleaning.

Pool was about 68' and spa easily 105'. Glad the restaurant was there for a quick dinner. Food was good. They have a happy hour at the bar also. Comfortable room. Good coffee in room.

The freezer needs defrosting. I waited over 30 minutes in the lobby for a luggage transport cart and the staff was summoned to gather them up from the various floors so others could use. How selfish of other patrons to not return the carts promptly! A call was made to the desk to get help with the TV which needed a new remote. Housekeeping can't check this? Will the towel bar in room 201 ever be replaced? It is split and broken.

We checked in at 5 Pm and for some reason the front desk lady decided to give us the furthers room from the lobby entrance! We asked for anther room and she offer us the same on ground floor and she told us take it or leave it. I took the second option but i noticed the corona safety stickers was on so many doors (which meant those rooms was sealed and not occupied). any how other than this everything was good.

The staff was very nice. I’ve loved the fact that there is a restaurant and a bar at the hotel, where the food is very good. Totally recommended for a gateway, in fact this was the second time that I’ve stayed at the hotel. The bed was good and comfortable.

I really liked the location. Free Parking. It is not to far of a drive from the main boardwalk (if no traffic). Restaurants, Walgreens, liquor store and most importantly Starbucks right around the corner and down a few blocks from hotel. The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. I love that they allow dogs with a $100 fee added. Also about a 10 min drive to Henry Cowell Redwood State Park trails.

The bar/restaurant in the lobby was great but pretty pricey. No room service during your stay. If you want/need any towels, toilet paper, etc. they will not bring it to your room. You must go to the lobby to pick it up. Seems inconvenient being you will pay a high price per night.

Beautiful facilities - well maintained. It felt very clean & modern. Nice restaurant in the lobby and the food and drinks were great. Easy access off the freeway. The pool area was also really nice. The rooms were large.

We were on the same level as the pool and the 'smoking deck' and you could definitely smell the smoke in the hallway. The 'view' from our balcony was basically just the parking lot and other rooms, which was a bummer. And there's only 1 single elevator for the whole hotel.

Very spacious and liked that I had two bathrooms. Also enjoyed the balcony and the extra pillows that were provided. Also, liked that the TV's were big and there was two of them. I liked that there was a restaurant and bar available on site.

The water pressure was low which made it hard to shower properly, I also thought the furniture was quite dirty and needed a good scrub. I think there should be more doggie areas, with faux grass for dogs that only know how to do their business in grass. I also think the smoking area(s) need to be equipped with chairs. Just because we smoke, doesn't mean we shouldn't get the same treatment as any other guest staying here.

Rooms were clean, had plenty of USB ports for charging, mini fridge, decent TV. Pool and hot tub were nice, although the jets in the hot tub were not working. Breakfast was great, and the on site restaurant had good selections and the food was delicious.

The $10/night parking fee seems petty, as the hotel has a large parking lot and is not in walking distance of anything. Didn't see any public transit, so it seems like a hidden fee for everyone.

The room was lovely, the area was quiet, everything was clean and functional.

Wehn we checked in we were encouraged to park on the middle level, which we did. AS it turned out this required a very long shlep to our room 310, with suitcases. When we looked around we could see that we were directly above the lobby and should have parked below the lobby and gone straight to our rooms. As i have mobility limitations, (though I am not disabled), this was very annoying.

I liked the smell walking into the lobby and I loved that there was coffee in the room. The location I enjoyed as well as it seemed nestled among trees…and food variety, freeway, and gas were all in close proximity.

The shower doors were annoying…hey, you’re asking me what I didn’t like, but the place was a nice stay.
