Comfort Inn & Suites

Breakfast was better than most hotels and started early enough that we could enjoy it before a day of hiking. Room was big and clean, with a fridge, microwave, and TV. Nice town with lots of food places to choose from, including the Pizza Factory in the same parking lot. Stayed here to visit Lassen National Park and while there are closer places, we loved the convenience of being in a real town with store and restaurant options.

Only issue we had was noise. Cars/motorcycles racing down the street late at night and the door into the building slamming shut right outside our room both late at night and early in the morning. Might have only been our room location on the first floor by an entrance/exit, but recommend bringing earplugs. The entrance nearest the office had a controlled-close door so it didn’t slam, but the one by us didn’t have that slow-close feature. Second floor is probably quieter.

The staff were polite and attentive. The bacon at breakfast was a treat. The room was good with a small table and desk, each with a chair. There was a comfortable easy chair with an ottoman. The TV was large with abundant channels.

The pool was an L or boot shaped, smaller sized pool with a capacity of 30 people, although with 10 people, it was crowded enough. There was very, very limited shade for swimmer's or sun bathers. There were some serious issues in the bathroom of room #133... it took some serious wiggling to get the faucet to work...there was a very poorly patched hole above the bathroom mirror...whoever caulked the area around the sink needs to find a new job and a strip of wallpaper was missing under the bathroom mirror.

Breakfast was killer. Waffles, eggs, cereal, coffee, lots of stuff. Room was great. Vending drinks and snacks in hall. Ice dispenser is INSIDE. Exercise room is nice and convenient. Room location was close to parking. They do have pool with handicap lift but it was closed for winter. Overall 9.7 out of 10.

Bed too soft for me but my friend loved it. Tile floor in bathroom is very cold, we ended up putting towels down. Coffee maker in room was dirty so don't recommend using. These things are very minor.

Love this hotel. We can honestly say every hotel that we have stayed at so far in Susanville has been fine, but this hotel was beyond expectations and will now be our Susanville hotel for visits! I usually dont care for the hotel waffles but they had some pumpkin spice ones that blew me away! Everything from check in to check out was great. Beds comfy, hotel clean, awesome view from rooms, quiet, and close to everything.

Lots of options for breakfast. Clean and staff was very helpful and kind.

We were not told no elevator and were put in a second floor room. Had to go back to front desk to get moved to a ground level room as I had my elderly mother with me who can not do stairs. The staff was nice and understanding and moved us.

In a town where there was terrible customer service at every restaurant and store we went to, Red Lion was the bright spot on our vacation! The guy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with great customer service! Because of the staff and the location if I ever come back to Susanville I will definitely stay here again.

The only hiccup was that they changed their name to Comfort Inn and Suites so I was a little confused when we got here. But, I think Booking.com should have sent us a notice of the name change.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms very clean. Location to the pet area and office was good. The beds were comfortable once on them.

AC was pretty loud and the toilet ran during the night. It would have been nice to be given a choice of a coffee maker in our room Instead one of us had to dress to go to the office to get some in the morning. Breakfast was meager, had to supplement with store bought breakfast sandwiches. The beds seemed pretty high, making it awkward to get up into.

Everything was great, no complaints. Room was big and roomy, very clean. Nice size bathroom which was clean as well. Staff was great, parking was great. On-site laundry.

The property was very clean. The beds were comfortable and the linens were good quality. The shower had good pressure and the water removed soap thoroughly.

We stayed on the second floor and there was no elevator.

Clean, quiet, spacious room. Friendly staff. Lots of good choices for breakfast, which is included. Options to dine out are near by. Centrally located. The property looks well kept and inviting.
