Holiday Inn Express Tehachapi, an IHG Hotel

1) breakfast was great. 2) king size bed was extremely comfortable. 3) room darkening shades were excellent 4) room insulation was great. could not hear noise from neighbors.

1) the shower head sprayed everywhere : onto the floor and wall, even though the curtain closed properly. water damage on wall outside shower. 2) air conditioning in hallways non existent, with 100 degree temps outside. 3) no water bottles provided in room for coffee preparation. 4) no wet bar available 5) room smelled like dirty feet, quite stale, and was hot when we arrived. 6) vending machines non existent

The swing desk staff was very friendly and helpful and the lobby was decorated for Christmas. The room had very high ceilings making it feel huge and there was a couch which we weren't expecting. The shower was nice and the bathroom was roomy enough. There was a fridge and microwave which we weren't expecting as well. The proximity of our room to the lobby was nice and the breakfast was good.

The morning desk staff could have been friendlier. The room had stains in the carpet and the carpet felt very worn. The ceiling was thin... we could hear every time the people in the room above us moved... lots of pounding like a herd of elephants. The pancake station seemed not to work and the breakfast hostess was never around to check things. When she was notified by another guest that the station needed more batter, she laughed with a coworker, made fun of the guests (in Spanish), and didn't change anything in the pancake station. This was a bit frustrating.

The facilities were clean and the staff great.

They had computer issues and informed when I checked out my credit card had been denied. They figured it out that it was their system. Bed is too high. I'm 5'3 and my husband is 6'. We have short legs and both had to jump onto the bed. Also needs more comfortable seating in the room.

We arrived the evening of a high traffic day. The one person on duty handled the frustrated travelers so well. She was awesome!! Happy and helpful and dealt with some unruly guest in a perfect way! The breakfast was handled by one young man who did an awesome job.

That there was no manager on duty anywhere on the property the day we checked in or out. I felt bad for the young workers. There was only one person on the front desk, one serving breakfast and two house keepers.

This is by far one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Excellent location, well taken care of pool and hot tub This actually had washer and dryer available and the staff was excellent. The room was clean and the breakfast was delicious

We stay here every time we travel from Arizona to California. Rooms are clean & the location is quiet & convenient. Easy off & on freeway.

In our opinion, We think the price range for a single night is a little pricey as are some other hotels. At most our stay is only about 15 hours. Just a place to sleep after a long drive. We usually arrive at 4:00pm to check in, then back on the road at 7:00am after a quick breakfast which is included.

This place always has exceptionally clean and modern rooms. The staff is as nice as they can be in this day and age. The views are always a plus and easy access to town and freeway. Great place to rest before heading into the valley hell below.

For some reason the price keeps going up while there are no amenities because of covid. The bagged breakfast isn't worth the time, you cant sit by the pool or the fireplace inside! The staff can only do so much to help make you comfy. The saving grace to this stay was Tehachapi lets you go into the bars and restaurants w/o a mask, that was very refreshing. The industry is taking it hard @ this time but less amenities and lower service should equate to a lower price.

Everything! super clean, very comfortable bed really nice staff. Starbucks across the street, Dennys too. Tehachapi: great town. Recommend the fabulous German bakery downtown and Petras middle eastern restaurant.

Large comfortable room, very good breakfast buffet. Hotel was very clean and staff helpful and friendly. Easily accessed from the main road and easy to locate, convenience of a gas station across the road was good too. Plenty of free parking.

Bed was very comfortable.

Remote for TV wasn’t working properly. Shower by pool not working. Soap dispenser in shower was hard to use, it should have been installed to the rear of the tub.
