Traveler's Inn Williams, CA Boutique Hotel

I discovered this place a few years ago on my travels from Arizona to Portland, OR. It is an older motel that has been remodeled fairly recently. The rooms are not large but they have been so thoughtfully designed they have managed to put everything in the room that a traveler might need and still fitting in two Queen beds amply. One of the things I loved was that you could back your car right up to the door so it was always handy and increased a feeling of safety. The continental type breakfast which you could pick up in the office was a surprise as there were many more things to choose from that I was expecting. It was ample for breakfast and a few things you could take for the road. We LOVED the swimming pool and had it all to ourselves. The town is small but close by is a place called Grandzelli’s which has several restaurants and all kinds of wonderful products to buy. The young man that waited on us when we checked in was kind and helpful. We recommend this place highly - oh and the price. We felt there was so much value here. I think the room was about $115.00.

Traveler's Inn is an old 1950's style motel, but it has been completely refurbished. The rooms are small, but thoughtfully arranged to accommodate travelers. Everything is sparkling clean. Bed is very comfortable. Linens are good quality. Breakfast was surprisingly good with cereal, boiled eggs, pastries, juice and hot drinks, fresh fruit and yogurt. Breakfast was provided in the small office, so travelers must carry their selections outside, across the parking lot and back to their rooms. We enjoyed our stay.

In spite of the old fashioned style of Traveler's Inn, our stay was very comfortable and satisfying.

The hotel was off the freeway, quaint with old style charm. The room was smaller than expected but it is that style of room from the past and they did such a wonderful job with the space that they had. It was all refurbished. They added so many little touches that made the place very homey and very welcoming. They even had a wall mount container with paper towels in it by the refrigerator and microwave (never have I seen this before in any hotel). Very practical! Place was VERY CLEAN and staff was friendly.

The outside heating/AC unit was a bit noisy.

The young man at reception sensed my distress at being placed further from the office than I anticipated and gave me an upgrade in my room so that I could be on the side that faced the office. He was genuinely concerned about my satisfaction and was extremely polite. An absolute asset! This was my second visit & I will stay here every time when going to the PNW or to SoCal.

Once my room was changed from the first location to the second, I was happy. There is nothing to dislike.

Very, very clean. Super friendly hosts. A great spot to rest for the night with very reasonable rates. Far away enough off the highway to be quiet, yet close enough to food, gas, etc. Pool, small gym.

In reality nothing about this place is bad. If I had to choose one thing is the rooms are tiny. This is due to it being a very nicely and well done remodel of an old school motel.

Very clean. Beds soft. Grout in the shower was immaculately clean. Cute paper towel holder. The fridge had a freezer. Parking was very convenient, and the location felt very safe. I could see my car from my room. Easy access back to the Interstate highway, too. Gas was (relatively) cheap in town ($4.35/gallon compared to $4.85/gallon everywhere else I've seen)! Grocery store down the street. The brand of lotion they stock for the hotel guests was amazing. I wish they sold it in stores, because it worked wonders on my winter-weather chapped hands.

I had to drive 12 hours again the next day. Didn't want to leave the soft bed.

The 3 words on their sign, 'Comfort, Quality, and Value' described the hotel perfectly. It was a quiet, clean room at a great price. Within walking distance to Granzella's deli and the quaint, old fashioned California downtown. We will always stay here on our trips through Williams.

The fact that I didn't stay another night.

The fact that you park right in front of the room is always a bonus for me. I liked the grab & go breakfast. There is a grocery store close which was great for getting snacks. After over 8 hours of driving this was a nice way to spend the night.

Not much really. I couldn't find the bowls for cereal but it was my choice not to ask for one.

Coffee, OJ, danishes & hard boiled eggs that were almost impossible to peel. Breakfast was a little sparse but at least had something to put into my stomach to hold me over to an early lunch. Located a few blocks off I5 in a very quiet residential area with a market a couple of blocks away. Always friendly owner, and always clean rooms.

It smelled clean and nice when we entered our room. I loved all the cute folded towels everywhere! The kids loved the outdoor pool! The location was great, near the highway. Staff were kind.

By the time we got to breakfast there wasn’t much to eat.
