Stagecoach Motel

On our motorcycle trip from Richmond VA to the Grand Canyon and back, we've had to out-run storms several times (sometimes unsuccessfully!) This was the case today. We had to stop somewhere quick. Not bad, it's an older motel. Appears clean, the shower is great and the front desk lady is nice, offering recommendations for food and few events happening in this town of 7,230 (based on 2023 census). I haven't seen but 2 people so far! Around here you can pay close to $200 ($12.50 per hour) for a room at the Hampton Inn or under $100 ($4.75 per hour) for a decent night's sleep here. I'm happy with my choice.

It was very clean and unlike some motels, we experienced lately there were no shady people living at the motel. The staff was very professional and kind. Our room was freshened up while we were gone and they did an excellent job. The neighbors were quiet after 10 pm and we got great rest. The bed was comfortable and everything worked as it should in the room.

This is a clean older hotel. I served my purpose well. It happened that I accidentally booked 2 rooms - instead of just one, and the front desk person worked with me to transfer the room to a friend of a friend who did not have a room booked. The clerk was careful to protect me as well as help others…. I would say she went the extra mile to help! I will be back!

The room key was a little hard to turn, but we got it once we figured out the trick.

Room was clean, comfortable and quiet

It is a older hotel but for the most part in good shape, I didn't like that the door didn't feel secure, I was on the second floor and I couldn't see going down the stairs need some lighting, and a key drop box would be helpful because the office is locked at early hours

When we got there, the ice machine was not working. The manager went to the closest store and purchased bag ice and delivered a full ice bucket to our room. Also, there were 2 bottles of water in our room, very nice. Then he sent 2 more bottles with us when we left that next morning. The breakfast is just continental, but again well stocked.

They worked with me regarding canceling my next two days.

I don’t have any negatives about them. Now not happy with booking.com because they have not refunded my money and they are very difficult to communicate with. Waited 30 mins on hold and nobody ever answered. Wrote emails to booking .com and no response.

Check-in went well. The breakfast was a little on the thin side, but we don't eat much so it was ok. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the pillows soft. Quiet area even though near a major road.

Fine for a one night stay.

I wanted to add another room for 2 more workers the the lady on the phone wanted to change me a deposit and I already had a room for a week so I booked in another hotel that was very accommodating so I won't be back

First floor room. Comfortable beds. Non smoking option

People couldn't smoke in the rooms so a few were sitting outside on steps above our room smoking. Maybe designated area away from rooms would be helpful.

We were very happy. We had steaming hot water, comfy beds, a super clean room with fresh tile and carpet. It was economical and we were very pleased. The man at the desk was very nice and helpful. I saw him deal with an intentionally unpleasant guest in the calmest, nicest way.

The pool was not open. This was explained as being closed during the 2020 pandemic and had not been reopened. Not a big deal but good to know.
