The Resort on Cocoa Beach, a VRI resort

Everything! Had all amenities you could want and then some. Had activities throughout the day and even a Movie theater! The whole hotel was obviously updated recently and was clean! The main room/kitchenette and 2 bedrooms were spacious and the 2nd bathroom made it so convenient and private. Both the staff and the customers were so friendly probably due to the happy carefree "I ❤️ this place" atmosphere. Was kind of like a cruise ship in a way but you could explore the "island" at any time and not worry about getting back to the ship in time. Plenty of good eateries! Got lucky and watched a SpaceX rocket launch!

If you walk the beach you will want to take shoes off or have a towel for your feet as you come into your room or you will have sand everywhere. Of course they thought of this too and provide broom and dust pan in each room.

The location was perfect. We saw a rocket launch from our balcony, had a beautiful view of the ocean, and were close by car to restaurants and attractions. The Mexican restaurant onsight and the Tiki Bar at the pool were excellent; we used them for 3 meals. The movies offered for free were a great variety, family shows earlier and teen/adult movies later, showings all day! My daughter and I learned Pickle Ball with a tennis pro for free! (We tipped him, but nobody else did that I saw.) Chair rentals and free athletic equipment were always available, as were big, plush towels for the pool and beach. A game room entertained us one evening. The key bracelets were ingenious, used for almost everything.

We had a "penthouse" 2 bedroom suite on the 8th floor which included higher-end furniture, stainless steel appliances, and tall toilets. Ours was lovely, but I understand that not all rooms have these emenitites. We asked for and received pillow tops layered on top of our king mattress, but they were 2 twin items that moved under the sheet. The mattress was pretty hard and thin, but we slept well anyway.

2 things……. 1) No breakfast bar. Some guests like ourselves fly in for a very short stay, unlike the “Time sharers”, and are very unprepared. No vehicle, no groceries, etc. Aztecas II has limited hours. I’d like to stay again, but it will depend on how we travel. Next time we fly in, it may be a hotel just for the convenience. Unless……….. 2) You can provide a resort shuttle service that will transport guests on a routine scheduled basis to and from certain stops, like several miles north on Atlantic where there are a number of restaurants, grocery store, etc. I’d use the resort shuttle that makes a route once an hour. And the driver would do well in tips also.

The hotel was wonderful for a family (we have two small kids). Lots to do and very clean and spacious and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The access to the beach is great and so close (the hotel is literally on the beach), the pool was fun and large enough and they even have heated pool towels that you can grab as you approach the pool. The indoor play area was great for the kids too and they even had a movie playing one night. They give you a wrist band that is programmed and we wore it all day long - was comfortable and helped us not worry about forgetting hotel keys when we were in the pool etc.

The rooms were spacious. Loved the in room whirlpool tub. Kitchen had all utensils and appliances you would ever need. The gym was great. Very nice pool and very wonderful spacious beach! Also loved that room had washer and dryer. That is wonderful because you can wash your bed sheets in YOUR detergent if you like....and washing your room towels makes them much softer.

The beds and pillows were extremely hard. We followed the instructions on doors and A/C but we still had an extremely humid room and it smelled STRONGLY of mildew soon as we checked in. I had to go the next day to buy allergy medicine to breathe without constant coughing and sneezing. The wall by the guest bathroom was covered in mildew. I cleaned it off but it kept returning. There are NO attractions near hotel. We had To drive 1-2 hrs to do things we wanted to do. The pro is it's QUIET. Do I recommend staying here? ABSOLUTELY. The pro's outweigh the cons.

Cleanliness and Things to Do! Very friendly staff! Modern rooms for the most part. Movie Theater and activities. Close to the beach. Jacuzzi, Pickleball, & basketball courts are Nice. Love the inside of Resort. It is very nice with a Mexican restaurant on property. Plus the rooms have 2 full bathrooms!!!

Great property dated on outside but modern on inside. Wish it had bike rentals on property. Jacuzzi in direct sun with no shade. Pool is next to the parking lot.

Everything! The room was spacious clean and had everything we needed. The Balcony had a partial view of the ocean but still beautiful. There were a lot of amenities for recreation i.e. pool, basketball court, tennis court etc... The parking lot was well lit and felt very safe. There was easy beach access with a nice area to wash your feet upon returning. My wife liked it so much that we are planning on returning next year. I liked there was ice cream vending machine!

Long wait for check-in. Front desk employees were slammed that morning. It took hours after and was after 4 still no room available and they had no idea how long it was going to take. They finally gave us another room on the second floor when they said our room was on the third. The reason they said was short short staff.

Loved the resort amenities, especially that the pool and hot tub was open until 1130pm. Chair and umbrella rental were easy with a guy that is set up at the end of the boardwalk connecting the resort to the beach. Very nice and spacious condo. The front desk employees were very helpful and friendly.

The pillows were pretty awful, definitely needs an upgrade and a few extra.

My suite was fully furnished with everything I needed to cook several meals. Everything was very clean, and I really appreciated the towel service that was available on a daily basis. There were amenities that everyone could enjoy, as my group had several ages. This was my second year to return, and I was not disappointed. I plan to keep coming back!

The ocean was full of seaweed for several days in a row. I know that can't be helped, but it was disappointing. My kids love to play in the ocean.
