Hotel La Croix

We were only a block from all the Waikiki action. The hotel provides prompt customer service through texting. The hotel decor is really fun and fresh.

I chose this hotel for its available parking on site. It turned out to be valet only and it was full the first night so we had to park at the Post Office and walk back. There was no mention of reserving parking prior to my arrival. There is construction across the road so be prepared for some noise.

The hotel's location was perfect for my needs - it was conveniently located near all the places I wanted to visit and had everything needed nearby. But what really stood out to me was the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the moment we checked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and helpful advice about the local area. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and I really appreciated their attention to detail. Special thanks to Andre and excellent customer service. The room itself was also lovely - clean, spacious, and well-appointed with all the amenities we needed. Overall, I would highly recommend La Croix to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Honolulu. Thank you to the amazing staff for making out stay so memorable!

One area that could be improved is the hotel's wifi. While it was available throughout the property, I found it to be unreliable and slow at times. This made it difficult to get work done and stay connected with loved ones. I would recommend that the hotel work on improving its wifi service to ensure that guests have a better experience.

The staff were amazing! It is an older hotel but has been updated & is undergoing more renovations. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable and had its own air conditioning which we could adjust. The entry is pretty and has an ABC store attached. We loved the pool on the 4th floor.

I wish there had been more hooks for hanging wet towels, bathing suits, etc. The shower had cool doors but they were half doors & water leaked all over the floor when showering. The location was ok but it wasn’t easy walking to the beach if you wanted to take stuff. It would be nice if they had beach gear available & beach towels were not available as advertised. Valet parking was almost $42 per day. I know it’s Hawaii & things are expensive but ugh, we stayed 11 days so it really added up.

Room was clean and with a very nice view, especially at night. Position is really good, the hotel is just 10/15 minutes walk to Waikiki beaches and the walk is really nice among shops and restaurants. The hotel also provide beach towels service and snorkeling gear for free (masks not included due to Covid at the moment). The pool at the fourth floor is small but very cute with a nice view. All staff was very nice, kind and helpful with anything we needed. We had a very pleasant stay!

When I booked the hotel I chose it because breakfast was included, unfortunately because of Covid and safety measures, breakfast was suspended and they only told once I already booked. But they provided hot water with tea bags and coffee right in front the elevators. Not the same as a real breakfast but I appreciated the effort.

The staff at Hotel La Croix made it the most special. Everyone from the check in staff, to the bar tenders near the pool, to maintenance to cleaning staff were friendly, accommodating and just wonderful people. We had a Ocean View Room with distant water views which had two balconies and was pretty roomy for a family of 4. I loved the larger bar fridge and ABC store downstairs was very handy. Access to the club upstairs associated with this room was fab!

The lifts were being serviced when we were there, so that took some time to get up and down near check in and check out times. But I suspect that will be fixed soon. On the lower floors the traffic on Kalakaua Ave would have been quite noisy. We were on floor 11 and it wasn't too bad. The pool is quite small, but I liked it as it isn't as busy as other hotels (we stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki for a few nights and the pool was crazy busy and not at all relaxing).

The room was the right size for one person. Staff was super friendly and helpful. ABC store downstairs was a tremendous bonus and convenient for all things.

View from my room was a city scape, ocean room view would be better, with a balcony door that opens. There was no coffee pot in the room! And only a packed breakfast was available, but was a reasonable price in comparison with other similar items. Remote for tv was super elementary and so difficult to browse channels. All minor complaints that could make the stay better, however it was still great overall.

cleanliness

i left some alive Leis in the fridge and via text I asked for those to be removed from the fridge and put with our luggage. they agreed but when we arrived for the luggage to go to the airport the leis were not in there :( and we had not time to purchase more!

The staff at this hotel is exceptional: friendly, supportive, and quick in responding to any issues and/or concerns. The hotel location was also great, in addition to the fact that they provide many little things (e.g. beach chairs, surf boards, etc) that ease your stay on the island.

BUGS. We were unable to open our window and go on the balcony due to issues with some sort of bugs. Also, the hotel's building seemed pretty old. Lastly, there were many issues with the elevators - often not properly working. The bright side to it is that the staff provided very prompt responses to each issues.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating, amenities were great, very convenient to have an ABC store right on site. Close to restaurants and shopping, near bus stops, amazing view from the upper floor, ocean view rooms. You’re paying for a hotel that’s off the beach, but with only the park between you and the beach, it feels more like an oceanfront hotel.

The main road through Waikiki is right next to the hotel, so it wasn’t quiet. That’s completely outside of the hotel’s control, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. VIP room on the terrace level and the VIP happy hour was a pleasant surprise.

There was not enough lights in the room and on the balcony. People were using the stairs and waiting at the door to sneak into the VIP room. It was a bit uncomfortable.
