Aston Mahana at Kaanapali

Absolutely outstanding views. We spent a few hours every morning watching Whales from our beautiful balcony. It was extremely peaceful, the location was perfect. Nice amount of restaurants etc to eat out at or just enjoy the comfort of your balcony with a takeaway or home cooked food. There is a pool which looks lovely, almost in the beach, we didn't use it but that's because we were bust on the beach which is right outside the door. Staff were very friendly and nice to speak with. We also received a Shell lei and sun lotion on arrival which was lovely. We hated leaving and hope to be back!

Really disappointed that there were no blackout curtains. There were only light voils up at the huge windows which meant that as soon as it git slightly light it was hard to stay asleep! There are also clear glass panels on the front door and there was no curtain or blind, the light outside of the door stayed on all night and made the room really bright to sleep. If they sorted the light / curtain situation I'd give it a 10! There was a lot of construction happening which didn't bother us expect for one morning when they started at 7am! Good job we were already up watching Whales! Lastly the dishwasher wasn't working, we tried to wash some dishes on our last day but the dishwasher was blocked.

It was so spacious - perfect for my husband and I, our two kids and my Mother. The kitchen was well-equiped, and we made breakfast every morning and a few dinners there. The balcony spanned the entire length of the apartment, and we saw sea turtles on 3 different occasions right from our balcony! The staff was great, and it was great to be steps away from the beach and listening to the ocean at night. Also great was having a washer/dryer in the house and 2 full bathrooms. The parking is easy and right out the front. We would definitely stay there again!

The room we stayed in (914) was a premium 1 BR unit, and it was updated, clean, with unreal views out of crystal clear windows. The bed was very comfortable, and were were able to sleep with the sliding doors open each night, falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean each night. We used the hot tub each night, which was great.

I wish the hot tub had some more jets in it, but honestly its fine and served its purpose for relaxing after a long day.

The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The view was perfect because I requested an ocean front room. If I needed anything, reception was there to provide. Location was great as well, quiet, peaceful and safe.

The room needs major cleaning. The lamp shades had dust balls come off everytime I touched the switch. The floor was dusty, the carpet was smelly and the curtains dirty.

location was great. The room was very comfortable and had a fully furnished kitchen that included a washer/dryer set. the view of the ocean from the 12th floor was spectacular

No restaurant or food. I had no room service the 4 days in the room. To take a nice walk we had to go through a an old looking, unlighted gate that required a 6 digit code

The apartment had a fabulous view - particularly on the beach. Great little self contained apartment with laundry facilities, kitchen and great balcony. We were surprised to find no onsite facillites for any meals or snacks - though once we discovered the area this was manageable.

It would have been good to know that the beach wasn't ok for swimming and there were no onsite facitlies for any meals or snacks. There is a resort close by and a small shopping centre close by as well as some food trucks this would have been good to know before arriving.

-We have a gorgeous view of the ocean and the islands of Moloka'i and Lanai. The view never got old and we got the watch the sunset with this backdrop every day -We saw sea turtles every day and easily from our 9th floor room -The room was lovely. For a couple, it was more than enough space. We ate dinner on the patio as we overlooked the ocean. We made good use of our kitchen space for some cooking and enjoyed our complimentary k-cups. I could go on - it was a great room at a very competitive rate. -It you want to be on the west side of the island, this is an ideal spot. We walked 3-5 times into town to check out local breakfast/coffee shops that were 0.1-0.3 miles away. There was another little retail strip about 0.6 miles away that had more local spots to eat and a market. You are only 10 minutes from Lahaina (which you definitely should visit) and we would also walk to an outdoor food truck restaurant area in 5 minutes. We got food and coffee there probably 3 times during our trip. -I snorkled in the ocean right in front of our hotel and saw beautiful fish, starfish, and a little octopus. Oh, and sea turtles. -Parking on site was easy. No valet needed. Just plenty of accessible parking spots. -The hotel itself is pretty inside and outside. -The pool is warm and the hot tub was really nice at night.

-The door was tough to swipe into. We thought our key didn't work at first, but you get used to it.

Looking out over the beaches we had taken a large size condo. The price may be considered high and we may have been lucky but the size, the decoration, the equipment was just perfect. The terrace was big and very calm. Personal is helpful and friendly. Food is not served but the supermarket is at a 3 minutes driving distance and numerous food trucks are at a 5 minutes walking distance. With a "over equipped" kitchen we could cook whatever we wanted. Very convenient are a laundry machine and dryer if you are traveling for more than one week

No bad points. Be aware there is no room cleaning but towels and amenities are available as you need ;)

The room was above and beyond expectation as it had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The views of both the mountains and the ocean was unlike any hotel/condo we've ever stayed in. The unit was exceptional.

The second bedroom with the twin beds left a bit to be desired. The beds were uncomfortable, and one of them even squeaked when you moved or rolled over. My son ended up sleeping on the couch in the living room, which he found comfortable. It just made it hard to sleep because of those of us getting up early and walking around in his "room".

Nice, clean, and spacious condo facing the ocean. We could watch the wales just from our balcony. Having washing and drying machines was an essential feature. The pool area was nice and open till 10 pm so the kids could have fun after the trips and the hikes until late. Great location, close to a plaza and the food truck court. It was good that the EV charger was available at the property's parking.

There were no clear instructions on how to separate the recyclables. When I asked the stuff, I was told that I didn't have to(!!!) Later we found the recycle bin at the end of the corridor on each floor.
