it was very clean and comfortable
the only thing I was disappointed in was the breakfast options. if you are diabetic gluten free or just watching your carbs there was no options for you. no fruit no juice no eggs or yogurt. just waffles cereal bagels and toast. I even asked. the reply is there was coffee or milk. neither of which I do.

Staff is very friendly and professional. The location is perfect- for gas, state parks, groceries/town isn't far, yet a nice break-away from the city life. Breakfast and coffee are served every morning, complimentary-delicious and fresh!

While not as good as it was a few years ago, as far as Red Rood Inns go, this is one of the better ones you'll find. Assigned room with a pet was the first room inside the side entrance. Thoughtful choice by front desk.
The down side of this location is that it is by itself in what was probably a farmers field not too long ago. You need to drive to find dining options. On the upside, there is a new Illinois CBD shop nearby thanks to its location on the Indiana border.

When you hear red roof inn, you may think lowers quality, not as clean. But this Red Roof was just as clean as any higher class brand new hotel. It was pet friendly, super super clean, and just overall a great place.
The only complaint we have is the breakfast. All that was offered was cereal and waffles and the waffle batter was out.

The bed was so comfortable I had the best night of sleep in a long time.
I didn't care for the breakfast. There was nothing to choose from. Nothing to drink and had to ask for hot water to be made so I could drink some hot tea. If the breakfast came up to par it would have been an excellent stay.

Clean, comfortable room. Lacking nearby restaurants, please offer a more robust breakfast. Red Roof Inn guests try to go to another nearby motel to savor that motel’s breakfast buffet.
Without restaurants or bars nearby, guests are forced to fashion their own cocktail hour just outside the Red Roof Inn’s front door in the middle of the night.

Location, nothing conviently close except for a Marijuana dispensary (not complaining bc its legal in Il) and a Shell gas station that gets robbed every other day.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. We had requested a room on the first floor and the one we were given (101) was right by the side door giving us easy access to our car. Motel is located right off the freeway but about a 10 minute drive from downtown. Room was large, had a big mini fridge. Bed was comfortable. WiFi worked great
