Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Merrillville, an IHG Hotel

Nice room, clean, good coffee. I was unable to check-in at my pre-planned hotel and went across the street to Holiday Inn. Latoya was awesome!!!! She provided top-notch customer service I’ve received She went above and beyond and was patient every step of the way,. She made sure I was able to get room accommodations that night as well as made sure she sent an email to the 3rd party I booked through so that they wouldn’t charge me. Upon check out, I was greeted by Carla who was also super pleasant! The room was great and very clean.

I loved how the staff was so friendly and when we first got there Carla was so much of a help and anything we far as a issue Keyona was a big help and corrected it...they have the most excellent hospitality I've seen in a while. The loyalty they have for their customers is amazing. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

There was one of your employers that was kinda rude at first but once again Keyona fixed that. She kept asking me is my dogs service dogs. But other then that it was ok. I just think she needs a attitude check because you can ask someone or approach them in a respectful manner. An, not too come off all snuddy. Maybe it's just her old age you know. They say when people hit a certain age they be set in them, maybe this isn't the job for her.

It was very clean, quit and reasonable price. And the fact that they had a well balanced breakfast that was so good and served turkey sausage we will be back again and again . Love the workers they were so friendly and helpful.

The cleanliness of the room and hotel all around. How polite the workers were. And shout out to who ever cooks the breakfast was good .

It would have been nice to know the pool was closed. We specifically were booking a hotel with a pool to be able to swim while on vacation. When we went to check out the pool there was a sign saying it was closed by the health department 5 days prior to our arrival. I booked past a month in advance, had I been made aware I would have canceled and picked a different location. Love the Holiday Inn but that was disappointing.

Clean room, quietness excellent treatment from staff.

Difficult to load hot food on to your plate due to poor design of counter. Food was not hot. $50 refundable charge at check in, was told it was because I reserved through Booking.com

Location was great. The breakfast was really good but when we stayed there was a baseball and basketball tournament going on somewhere and we had to deal with the kids right above our head keeping a lot of noise. but around 11 PM everything calm down.

This was one of the nicest, cleanest friendliest hotels i have ever stayed in. I have traveled a lot with family and work. There was never a speck of paper out of place. There was a sweet young lady behind the breakfast counter everyday serving your hot breakfast. The food was good always fresh from biscuits and gravy to cheese omelet, hot coffee, orange and apple juice. i used the work out facility several nights i stayed and it was always clean.

My only complaint would be the washer and dryer were a little costly, and they only had one each so when i did use them the one day they were occupied and I had to wait for a while, but that was not even that bad. i stoped and rode the excerise bike while i waited.

The bed was very comfortable

The water pressure for the shower was horrible.

The property was great! Even though I stay a bit of a way from the hotel, I knew this was the location best fit for all of our extracurricular activities we had planned for the weekend!

The only thing we didn’t like about the property was that there was a terrible mix-up with our rooms and another of my friend’s room due to the unexpected departure of the general manager. Somehow all of the rooms disappeared in the system and it took hours for another general manager to ensure we had all of our rooms. It was a mess! Nonetheless, it was taken care of and after that craziness everything was excellent!

I didn't like that front desk staff wasn't so friendly.but they might have had a bad day themselves.Housekeeping knocks on door .way before check out..
