SpringHill Suites by Marriott Chicago Southeast/Munster, IN

The decor is beautiful and the beds are so comfy. The front desk Manager (name starts with an M) she was such a pleasure to meet and made checking in a breeze. I enjoyed our conversation while checking in and I felt very welcomed by her. She’s such a nice person and I can tell she truly loves servicing the public.

Everything about the property itself was fantastic. However, I didn’t like some of the breakfast. The eggs were dry and burnt to a crisp in some places and the sausages did not taste good.

I liked the fact that they considered my desire not to have housekeeping during this time of COVID. Yet, they still took are of my needs. I loved that they have onsite laundry though they need more than one machine. The front desk hostesses were always considerate, understanding and responsive to my needs no matter what time it was. The pictures of the rooms were accurate though the rooms are a little older than pictured. The couch had stains- yuck. But, everything else was clean. I appreciated the information given regarding their COVID practices. Hope they continue after all of this is over. The breakfast was hardy. And the view was amazing. I overlooked the nearby park. There were plenty of restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner.

I saw staff not wearing masks as they cleaned and made the beds in vacant rooms. Also, the staff did not enforce mask wearing among guests. Otherwise, there wasn't much to dislike.

I didn't like the fact the staff would not accommodate me for what I asked for towards the end of breakfast one morning during my stay. I know it was only a little more than 10 minutes left before breakfast was over. But there weren't anymore muffins out and I asked the staff person that was attending the breakfast area if one could please be brought out. She simply said the hotel was out of them. The hotel has them every day. I just felt she didn't want to go get one for me seeing it was towards the end of breakfast time.

From the moment we walked into the door and then our room we very impressed. The hotel is beautiful and our room was so nice! Not set up like a typical hotel room but very modern . The room was very clean and comfortable. The location is great - lots of choices for places to eat . We will definitely be back .

The staff was excellent. The amenities were great. We ate breakfast downstairs the first day and went swimming later.

The second day we ate breakfast and it wasn't the same as the first. I feel the breakfast could have been changed up a little. Breaks up the monotony.

The staff was very accommodating. After having a booking cancel last minute just an hour before, it was a breath of fresh air to show up 5 minutes after booking and having everything run smoothly. Saved a weekend and allowed us to have a place to stay while seeing Shania Twain!

It was beautiful and clean

Arrived at 1 from out of town but no rooms were available to check in. Sunday morning there were several maids cleaning rooms so i guess im not understanding why i couldnt do so and carry on with my day.

Breakfast started at 6am and we needed to leave the hotel by 6:15am for warmups (Illinois State Championship swim meet). 1st Day: Coffee ran out by 6:10am and not time to wait for replenishment. 3rd Day: No bagels offered. Other than that… breakfast was standard yet fresh.

Location was very convenient for the tournament I was attending with my daughter. We enjoyed our stay.

Overall the hotel was clean. Our room looked like it was "cleaned in a hurry" and the little details were missed (hair on the bathroom floor, finger prints on the mirrors and windows).

Breakfast was ok wish they had more choices. Overall nice hotel. Love the fire pit outside very cozy set up! I would definitely stay again
