Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Ames, IA

I know there is not a lot of demand for people with food allergies. It would be nice to offer a few items gluten free. I ended up bringing my own GF options. This is something I'm used to seeing. Hard boiled eggs would be nice for those morning you do biscuits and gravy. Sausage is questionable because some have gluten added to the ing.

Breakfast was very good and the person who was there did a very nice job.

The shower - The shower curtain did not stop the water from getting all over the floor. The seat in the shower was poorly attached to the shower and will eventually fall off. The drain looks like it was put on incorrectly. There will be lots of water on the floor after each shower because of the curtain. I mopped up quite a bit of water after showering. I think they did not install the right shower pan. The edge is to low.

The breakfast and staff were amazing. Also everything seemed to be clean and up to standards.

The door locks did not seem secure, the upper latch lock was loose. The pool and spa area was closed and I wasn’t aware until I checked in, which was an amenity that wasn’t able to be used.

The hot tub was super. I had looked specifically for a hot tub as the last place it was closed. Rooms were comfortable.

The system was down, but that wasn't the staff's fault. They checked us in the best they could. The hallway and elevator were small but okay.

We really enjoyed the free breakfast and my son liked the waffles! We also enjoyed the pool and even though the jets didn't work on the hot tub we enjoyed just being able to sit in the warm water. The staff was friendly and helpful. We needed to stay another night, our room was already booked for someone else and rooms were filling up, it was the weekend. The staff was able to rearrange things and let us stay in our room. We appreciated that!

We stayed in Iowa for downhill skiing in Seven Oaks Recreational Area. We picked up this hotel because we liked Country Inn & Suites in Ankeny, IA. The hotel has a pool and spa. Breakfast was great offering many options. Room was very comfortable. Highly recommend this chain of hotels no matter what city you are at.

This was a last minute stay, but I loved it! will definitely be back! The staff were friendly, and the owner went out of his way to make sure I was accommodated during my stay. Also noteworthy, the whirlpool tub was just what I needed making an unplanned stop on a rainy night! Talk about R&R

I would have appreciated some USB power outlets, I forgot my charger, and only had a cord. But other than that everything was wonderful.

This location was centrally located to all the events we attended during our trip. Great little hot breakfast, nice big clean rooms, wonderful indoor pool. Staff was amazing!! Already booked another stay.

My only complaint is that they don't have string cheese each morning.

Rest of our group could check in early. Our room was not ready, i had a special needs child with me and wanted his room, they called my friends room and asked if I wanted to switch to another room that was ready. They noticed the child wanting his room. They seen the smile on my boys face when we went down to get the key.

Staff was friendly and helpful

elevator needed some cleaning attention on the buttons and control panel. also, children coming out of the swimming pool dripping water on the floor and the water was not being wiped up
