Baymont by Wyndham Marshalltown

We've always had a good experience with Baymont properties. That said, this property was no different; checking in was easy, and we were on the ground floor. Everything was clean and well lit, and it didn't feel dated. The room was clean and had fresh linens (something that I've read to check). It was nicely appointed, and the California King was comfortable for someone who likes a firmer mattress. The hot water wasn't too hot, and the pressure was good. That's a major point in any stay. We did have a small issue with the TV and Direct TV. The issue was fixed by the time we returned from dinner. Since thus was a business trip, we skipped using the pool or hot tub, and with everything in Marshalltown to do, we didn't get to use the modest exercise room with a treadmill and elliptical The location was next to the Interstate, which made it easier to find. And it's not far (less than ten minutes) from downtown. The breakfast was included and thankfully had proteins as well as the standard carbs and fresh fruit.

Really, nothing to mention. They've got everything that we wanted. We had a small issue with Direct TV.

Everyone at the front desk was super nice. The pool was super nice for the kids and I loved we had somewhere to go sit outside with our 1 yr old that was gated in. The location with get you anywhere in town fast and has a lot of fast food locations and restaurants for families

I had ants in my room not a lot but there was ants so we were kind of nervous to leave food on the table or drinks.

Was clean had everything we needed should have used exercise room

We had a handicap room because we booked through you couldn't change room and doesn't show online which rooms are handicap I didn't mind large bathroom moved the shower stool out of shower used for luggage I hate my luggage on floor anyway I understand having this room upsets some people

The staff is super friendly. They are bilingual, which is a bonus! We had a little smell in our room that we didn't like, so we spoke to the person at the front desk and he was very friendly and helpful. She transferred us to another room, it didn't matter it was late at night, she had a great attitude and excellent customer service. We appreciate your willingness to help! The hotel is super clean. Accessible laundry room. A small gym with a TV! A pool, I mean, it has it all! It's close to a delicious local Diner! A general store! So walking to get food and groceries is not a problem. The cleaning service was amazing too !! She was so quick and kind too! My congratulations to her! Overall the experience was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel! I guess beyond the fact, the hotel is super nice. What made it a very good experience was the great attitude of the staff!

Because of the pandemic the breakfast was limited.

That was super comfortable slept well

Bed very comfortable. Heater worked well considering it was -12 at nite. Good shower pressure

Eating area kind of small/crowded considering social distancing needs. It was too cold outside, could you improve iowa Feb weather🥶😉

This is a comfortable hotel that does whatever they can to accommodate. We stay here often and can't help but feel the staff is part of our family now. They certainly treat us with special care! Thank you so much.

Clean, good location

Did not have any fruit for breakfast when we went ar 7:30. And no syrup for waffles. The rest of breakfast was good
