Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Monticello

This is a great hotel on the edge of a small town where you might not expect one. Pluses: very clean rooms with comfy beds, sparkling bathrooms, nice linens, flat screen TVs, small fridges, microwaves, coffeemakers, iron and hairdryer, free parking, good wifi and 24-hour desk. Breakfast is included in the rate and included DIY waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, English muffins, cereals, muffins juices, yogurt, fruit and coffee: plenty to get you going! It seemed to be pretty full the night of our stay but our room was quiet; no noise from adjoining rooms or floor above.

Nothing except maybe the location: not walkable to restaurants or other visitor services so a car (which we had) is a necessity to get to/from the hotel and around the area. It is positioned an easy on/off HWY 151 however. No elevator (not an issue for us) so if steps are a challenge, request a first floor room. No special amenities for children (no issue for us either) so bring your own entertainment if staying with little folks.

Very clean and comfortable room. Loved that it was so peaceful there. Staff was very kind and helpful during our stay. Prices were very reasonable also. The hot breakfast was delicious and my kids loved the fresh waffles. I liked that the other food (bagels, yogurt, cereal, etc.) and juice was available all day as well. We plan to stay here again next summer.

The hotel is in a nice quiet area. It was nice clean, the beds were comfortable and the shower had great pressure

Not much parking, very few rooms could you see the parking area. We were driving a show vehicle and would have liked to be able to view where the car was parked, without having to go outside!

Would be nice to have a few more options for breakfast. I have a gluten allergy and all I could eat were the eggs.

We ended up in handicapped accessible room. Not a problem except there was a very strong urine smell in the bathroom. Next morning realized there was urine in the grout around the toilet. Wished I had worn my shoes 🙄

Nice breakfast area and selection, including locally made doughnuts! Clean room, nice bathroom Hotel in quiet area, easy parking.

Bed pillows a bit hard. Front entrance doors slammed shut loudly.

Over 100.00 for night but would stay again. You were able to go out Back door but not come in that way so someone was keeping it open with a rock.

It’s a little hard to regulate air conditioning so sleep is not too hot or cold. Too bad there are not blankets instead of the comforter. King room is better on this.

Breakfast was good and had enough options to get the day started. The rooms were very clean, some of the cleanest we have seen in our travels and the staff very friendly.

There really was not anything we didn't like but we did feel it was a little pricy. We were moving family to the area so it was a little more expensive than we thought it would be for a short overnight stay in a smaller town.
