I come up to stay at this hotel when we come and see our son at Dordt college. The college is about 15 minutes away, and I could stay at a hotel in that city, but I willingly drive the 15 minutes out to Rock Valley and stay at this hotel. The rooms are very clean, and have comfortable beds with many pillows which I appreciate. The hotel is very quiet, so it is easy to get good rest. The front desk staff is absolutely amazing! Every time I have been there they have been more than accommodating to help with anything you might need. Very friendly as well. I love their breakfast too!

Only one thing I wasn’t sure about. I have always been able to get what’s known as a “Dordt Defender” rate when we come to do something w our son at school. It’s honestly really helpful since we drive from a few hours away and gas is pricey. I had been getting a room for $99 but last week it was $125. It’s still cheaper than reg price. I just wondered though if it was a mistake possibly. I wasn’t sure if it was higher until I got home and saw the $99 receipt from 2weeks ago. It’s still a great place to stay and I have only the best things to say about the visits I’ve had.

Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were clean. Loved the walk in shower since I have mobility issues.

I was really disappointed in the breakfast. Scrambled eggs were wet and luke warm. Potatoes were basically warm and gritty. Disappointed with the breakfast after paying 220.00 per night. Figured the fare would be better than the breakfast at our other 100.00 per night hotel stays.

Clean room and comfortable bed. Good location. Staff was polite.

We reserved several days ahead for a 3 night stay, asked for a quiet room and were put next to the elevator. Tried to upgrade but were told property was full. Thx to a good crowd we lost sleep only on one of the nights because of the elevator noise- folks came in about 3am. Breakfast was minimal “because of covid.” Other places we have stayed this trip had returned to full breakfasts.

Clean updated/new facilities. Good breakfast.

A loud noise woke us up every morning at 5:05am. Management didn't know what it was even though they heard it too. Not exactly restful.

We were surprised at the extraordinary appearance of the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which is not the case at many hotels at which we reside. Thank you, wonderful staff! Our room was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and large. The lobby provided luxurious seating and amenities. We really like this hotel and will look for others by the owners.

The accessibility from the highway is somewhat confusing and needs to have more directional signs, and/or better lighting at night.

Disappointed in the breakfast. There were not as many options as our previous stay here and food was not as hot as we like.

The fitness center was nice and clean, breakfast was delicious, I like that they had a variety of teas, didn't have any problems with our room.
