Heartland Hotel & Suites

As I arrived, I realized I had stayed here before while traveling for business in the area. My room was huge...king sized bed, couch, plush rocking chair, dressers, large bathroom, etc. There were restaurants about a half mile away. The price was less than $5.00 over what I try to budget my hotels to be while traveling for business. Breakfast was fine...not a large selection but fine ...waffles, bagels, cereal, coffee, etc.

I don't have much to say here...all was very good. If I had to pick something...well...I would say perhaps a bit more to select from for breakfast.

The person who checked me was very friendly. As I got in rather late...about 8:30 PM...and I had to leave at 3:00 AM to hit the road very early I asked the person who checked me in if it was possible for me to get a bowl of cereal from the breakfast room that early. Not only did she say I could, but she also offered me a hard-boiled egg, a yogurt, and a couple granola bars to keep in my room for breakfast too. My room was comfortable, and the price was great. I will definitely stay here again if business brings me back to the area!

Breakfast was good, good location and very clean. I liked that they were green, soap/shampoo and hand soap were in dispensers instead of all those little bottles.

I really didn't like it that they were selling ice for $2.50 a bag. They should invest in an ice dispenser or at least have ice in the office that you can get if they want to control how much you get.

Location was in a quiet and beautiful little town. The breakfast was fine. Cereal, waffles, hard boiled eggs, toast, muffins, juice, coffee.. fine for us

For the price it is unbeatable. The facilities are exactly what you need to spend a night. The hotel is clean and the staff accommodated us for a late check in. Also they were flexible enough to let us out a bit late after our late arrival. Location is great, south of Sioux Falls, ideal for us who were heading south to Omaha.

We arrived late around 11:00 pm. When staff helped us at the front desk, the window gate was mostly closed during checkin. We could hardly see the person behind the counter. It didn’t feel very welcoming.

We were passing through and needed a place to lay our heads. Property was really clean and front desk super friendly. Breakfast was simple and almost out of everything by 9am which was weird because there were only 3 cars in the parking lot when we arrived and left. Overall was good for the quick stay and affordable.

I checked in very late. I called ahead. Management made excellent accommodation for the late checkin. Much appreciated.

I appreciated the value gotten for the price. This was not the fanciest of accommodations, but it did prove a very clean room, nice bed, and tremendous value for the money paid.
