Sleep Inn & Suites Oakley I-70

I travel across small town midwest for oil field work and have stayed at a variety of chain and private small town hotels. That being said, I know what one can expect from aforementioned properties. The Oakley Sleep Inn is a touch above average. Both hot tub and pool were open and clean. Wifi signal was strong and easily accessed. Ample parking and space for dog walking. Pet fee is very reasonable.

The breakfast is/was average. I feel the "breakfast" is one area where any chain hotel can do a little more to set themself apart from others.

The beds were amazingly comfortable. The showers were new and worked well. The swimming pool was very clean. Everything about the hotel itself was really good. The staff were very helpful and friendly, answering all my questions.

I'm not sure what is next to the hotel, but whatever that facility was, it smelled like cow manure. It wasn't a smell you could ignore either. It was overpowering when the wind hit and nauseating when there was no wind. I felt sorry for the people working there. Just unbearable.

I was so blessed with this staff. they treated me with absolute care. I went to the ER and they provided me with everything I needed. I don’t know what I would’ve done without this amazing staff. On top of that, the location has everything you need around it. The hotel was so nice & comfortable. Especially for the price.

It was a nice room with comfortable beds and pillows. Appreciated having ample towels and being brightly lit over the bathroom sink.

Breakfast needed a few more hot items and another fruit selection. Bananas were a bit too green. The hair dryer in our room was ruined. When we tried using it, it smelled like it was fried and made noise. Front desk staff weren't that friendly - little eye contact, no smiles, or welcomes.

Comfortable bed, good breakfast. Nice facility.

Kids running in the hall, no fault of the property itself. Dogs in the rooms, again, more guest issue than property but a pet friendly policy allows it. You charge extra for pets to compensate for room wear but that doesn’t help a guest that gets the bejeebers scared out if them when a big rotweiler type barks as they are merely walking down the hall. Review is aimed at owners if kids and pets. Most all facilities are overpriced, this is no exception.

We liked almost everything.

I needed to do a load of laundry and the dryer was out of order, otherwise this would have received a perfect score. I had to drive into town to find a laundry, whuch is not what I wanted to do after driving 600 miles.

we stayed at this hotel on our way west, so when we returned home through this area, we decided to stay here again because it was a great place. Staff recommended a great place for dinner.

Nothing - which is why we stayed here a second time.

Nice, clean rooms. Staff very friendly and courteous. Price reasonable. Easy access off the interstate.

Oh my, the smell from the winds blowing from the feed lot. The smell was out of this world outside. Inside the hotel was a small amount odor from feed lot due to the door opening and shutting. The room did not have an odor, it smelled clean, otherwise a good place to stay in the middle of nowhere.

The king sized bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was hot and fresh. Very nice staff.

I was so busy I didn't have time to enjoy the pool, the hottub or the gym... Hopefully next time.

Room was clean and comfortable. The staff was so very nice and the breakfast was awesome.

The only thing I didn't like is that I forgot a swimsuit so I could get in the hot tub :)
