Hampton Inn & Suites Houghton

Beautiful hotel, spacious room and bathroom, with a nice view of Keewanaw Waterway. Large and inviting lobby, a lot of breakfast choices, friendly staff. Great location - within walking distance to downtown shopping/restaurants and boardwalk area along waterway, also close to Michigan Tech and easy access to main road(s.) Felt safe. All doors to inside from outside had to be accessed by room key. Drinking fountains with water bottle fillers near main ice machine in lobby was a plus.

Great location! So easy to walk downtown and to Michigan Tech. We were there for a tour of Michigan Tech and a short vacation and it was the perfect place to stay. If our son decides to attend MTU we will definitely stay here when we visit. Breakfast was great and the views from our room were spectacular. Every worker we encountered was friendly and helpful.

Comfy beds, walking distance to all cool shops and restaurants in town, walking distance to university. Renovated hotel looks great but no longer pet friendly. they take great care to remove snow in the lot immediately and have plenty of shovels to dig your car out of necessary.

Not pet friendly. A humidifier for the rooms would be helpful in the winter.

Excellent location. New and modern style decoration. Facilities (rooms, lobby, gym, breakfast room etc) are really nice. Overall cleanliness is top-notch. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

Only thing to focus on is the breafast. Selection was a bit limited. Not so many choices. Coffee was the best in town though. 😀

Location was great. You could walk to alot of places to shop & eat. Breakfast selection was varied.

You need to get better pillows. All of them in our room were like marshmallows. Need more milk at breakfast for those of us that don’t drink coffee or tea.

Rooms are comfortable and clean, staff is friendly and location is a plus.

Parking is a nightmare and not enough spaces, hotel was booked almost full. For the price of $350+ a night, the breakfast should be much better. Not to mention the location of the dining area in proximity to the front door of the hotel.

Great proximity to Houghton area.....very easy walking distance to main street and all venues of town (which is good because parking is kind of limited so once you are set for the day best to walk anyway!) Very new facility so everything was right up-to-par.

the location of our room. At the end of the hall by the pool, employee only elevators, and exit to the parking lot on ground floor. perhaps the worst room in the hotel and they have vacancies.

We had to leave early and because I booked through booking.com I had already paid and could not get a refund of my last day. I will not book this way again.

Would have liked to have some kind of signage in elevator as to where lobby is, pool, breakfast. Would have liked a hook in the bathroom
