The location was excellent as we were hiking in that area and didn’t have to travel far. The room was spacious and just what we needed. The checkin and out process was quick. We were on the first floor which was a bonus…no stairs to climb. The beds were comfy and the pillows great. We had a suite and there was a fireplace in the main bedroom…we didn’t need it but it was an added feature.
I feel that maybe the pullout couch either hadn’t been used for a while or wasn’t looked at recently. I found an old bottle of water under the mattress. The towels could have been a little softer.

Our sheets appeared to be burned. There were repetitious stain that appeared to be burns.. Perhaps from laundering (mangle). Bathroom sink was extremely slow in draining. My wife loves hot tubs. She thought yours was too warm. Dog dodo right outside our room. Careful where you stepped.

Breakfast was very good, location was amazing. We went for the black sand beach which was right next to the property. Easy to find off of the main highway.
The cost was pretty high for a basic stay. The pool was great but the amount of chlorine was nausea inducing after a few minutes.

It was a very quick trip -- just checked in, chilled for a couple hours, slept and then took off. Didn't take advantage of any of the amenities. Check in was quick after I had to wait for quite a bit of time for her to deal with a problem with other guests. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. View (even with the rain) was beautiful.

Can't say enough about the staff. Friendly and very helpful! They had a difficult time finding people to run the water slide due to staffing shortages. They were able to open it the first night. The second night they weren't able to get anyone in to run it, but they made sure to make it up by having it open the next morning. The view from the top of the water slide is phenomenal! The breakfast was really good too. Definitely recommend.

The grout in the bathroom floor needs to be cleaned with bleach to get rid of the yuk. It would be nice to have some lounge chairs and tables to have an outdoor area in nice weather. When you get a room “facing the lake”, I just assumed that we would be able to see the lake; not so, at least in the summer. Location was close to some attractions, but choices of restaurants were few.

They need to be more clear on the pet policy. On the internet it states that the hotel is pet friendly but when we arrived they indicated that there were no pet rooms available even though I stated that we needed a pet room in my reservation. They let us stay there despite this, but they should be more clear on line about pet rooms.

I couldn't get the mini refrigerator to work. It wasn't a necessity for me since I had a cooler that was sufficient and didn't change my rating for my stay.
