Baymont by Wyndham Kirksville University Area

We were supposed to stay at a Days Inn, but the Days Inn was disgusting. We had to change hotels last-minute, and Baymont made it so easy. Baymont’s quality and cleanliness was a relief for us.

The bathtub was clean, but there was no plug for the tub, so we couldn’t give our child a bath. The clothes iron was chipping and falling apart. I didn’t have time to ask the staff for a different iron, so I just had to be careful not to let the crumbling black pieces stain our clothes. The only other issue was that a few of the pillows and pillow cases seemed a little dingy, and I wasn’t too thrilled about sleeping on them.

When we first arrived back on the 16th, there was no record of a reservation due to a questionable booking company--NOT Booking.com. Tammi helped us find a solution and we were actually charged a bit less. Tammi and the staff were extremely helpful--Sharon as well. This most recent stay was just as nice. We will continue to stay at the Baymont in future visits.

One suggestion: a better heating method for breakfast would be helpful. Selection good--just needs to be hot.

This is a very friendly, clean, and convenient hotel. The hotel staff were helpful and answered all my questions. However, don't expect a Ritz Carlton type of hotel. That's not what this hotel was designed for. The rooms are functional.

The breakfast was basic. Remember it is a complimentary breakfast. I did not expect much. Its okay to eat there if you are in a hurry. Otherwise, there are nice country-style restaurants nearby.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for two nights, then decided to stay in town a third night - unfortunately, the HI rate for an additional night made me decide to go elsewhere. The Baymont was pretty much across the street and we didn't go with it originally bc of the low ratings compared to HI - and it's true that the elevator was not working, so if that's a big deal to you, then there's that to consider. But it was clean, comfortable, just fine. I'm super-paranoid about bringing my kids to an unclean or unsafe hotel and we were all perfectly happy here. On a side note, the sink is OUTSIDE the bath/toilet area. This is a plus for us. There was a microwave and fridge too. All good!

We thought the Bed, Mattress and Pillows were very comfortable. The area was quiet and the hotel was clean. We did not use the pool or eat breakfast but would have it we would have had more time.

The ceiling fan in the bathroom is hanging out of the fixture and needs to be screwed back in place. Also, the drain in the tub is mostly plugged and water will drain very slowly.

The rooms were very nice and had just been renovated. Breakfast was great! The pool was not available.

We were locked out of our rooms on Sunday evening when we arrived at about 11:00 pm and it took us 15 minutes to find someone to reprogram our keys. Also, the remote for the TV would only change channels and not change the volume or turn the TV on or off.

The staff at this location were exceptional! It was graduation weekend and the family was fully booked and understaffed. They were all so polite and efficient getting the rooms turned over for the waves of people checking in and accommodating to those we witnessed wanting later checkouts. I cannot commend the staff enough. They did a great job.

The location worked for us very well, the breakfast was tasty, and the employees were very kind.

I didn't like that we couldn't use the pool, the first floor ice machine was busted, and it looked like you put a couple extra handles in the bathroom to make a handicapped room. The toilet was very low to be handicapped.

The hotel was very clean and accommodating. The staff was very nice and kind. Jeanette the front desk clerk was phenomenal. She gave me kpods and a Christmas card since I was there for the holidays. The breakfast was absolutely amazing every morning. I definitely recommend this hotel for your traveling needs.

Comfortable room in a good location at a good price which included a hot breakfast. Loved the sweet cat who lives there as well.

Facilities are a bit dated but adequate. No significant complaints will stay here again.
