Shepherd Mountain Inn & Suites

The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. You could tell they loved their business and are going to be trying to make the place even better versus let it fall apart. The food for breakfast was not just from the freezer and was fresh cooked in the back kitchen. They even had actual plates and silverware over the typical disposable paperware. The room was very clean and attention to detail was taken in remodeling. There is even local granite used for the vanity top, and local cabinetry work.

Do watch that the door locks automatically behind you, was locked out of my room within 10 minutes. However staff was able to help immediately.

Room smelled somewhat moldy, like the carpet had been wet. The price, compared to other facilities was kind of high

Even though my room door was external, I felt safe. My room size was not large but perfect, with just me and staying one night, it worked out great. I will stay again, if I am in the area.

I was in room 50 and I did not like the large hole in the parking spot, in front of my room. Not sure what the issue is, but someone could really get hurt if they have one too many.

It was a very clean and updated room and everything we expected of a hotel/motel in a small town and perhaps better. The people were very friendly and the breakfast ws exceptional for such small location, the staff cared.

It was more motel like than we expected or led to believe so our initial impression was not great - but the room, especially its cleanliness and aesthetic more than made up for the initial disappointment.

everything! decor and yard were terrific. especially the big tree right outside a yard and the fireflies at night! the hostess was welcoming and had great stories and info about the area, and her breakfast was wonderful

It would have been nice if the AC was already on in our room when we checked in—it was a hot day so it took a while to get cool.

Travelled for a bike race - Jeremy was an excellent host! Going above and beyond for our groups needs! Bike wash station w rags and drinks, BBQ outside after the race and Even asking what we wanted for breakfast on race mornings! Definitely a 12/10!

The staff are very helpful, friendly and nice. The room was quiet and clean. Very near great restaurant and just across the grocery store.

Hope there is a doormat to prevent rocks and dirt from coming into the room as well as storm door to prevent bugs to come in easily into the room.

I was so impressed with this lodging! My daughter and I did a mini getaway and we were so impressed. From the full kitchen, jacuzzi tub, comfortable and tasteful furnishings; it was so nice. They allowed us to use a firepit out back which only enhanced our experience. The check in lady was so incredibly friendly. The facilities were clean and we felt very safe. We could have stayed a month! Breakfast choices were above average for a "cold" breakfast assortmant (minding covid precautions well).

The curtains didn't close completely so I used clips and hairties to close the gap for more privacy.

Staff was friendly, you could tell they put a lot of care into the business. Showers were hot and had good water pressure. Room was clean. The main office had a cool look to it.
