Venture Inn

Libby Montana has only a handful of lodging options and I can compare two having spent one night at the Country Inn and three at the Venture during the Montucky Clear Cut snowboard event. For a few extra bucks the Venture offers: an elevator (vs stairs at CI), an indoor pool & hot tub (none at CI) a full restaurant (continental breakfast at CI), super nice folks (including one or two who work at both motels), and best of all: cookies in the afternoon! Pick up a chocolate chip or snickerdoodle when you have the chance, because they may run out! My king room was huge, comfy, and had a mini fridge to keep things cold.

The TV could be upgraded to a smart TV, and maybe a bigger screen. Nowadays I'd rather add YouTube, Netflix, etc as options to watching just the local channels.

The wood sculptures and cleanliness of the Inn just made everything so inviting. It's nice to see older hotels kept up. The restaurant was fabulous, service was excellent. Love the location. We visited the park across the street- was nice to relax after a long drive. Leaving in the morning we visited the nearby falls with the suspension bridge- that was a great surprise ! Libby is an inviting town.

Staying at The Venture Inn was like going back in time to my youth. It's not a chain hotel and it's in a beautiful little Montana town. Icing on the cake is the old fashioned room keys instead of electronic cards. Will come back every chance I get!

Not too much to gripe about, but... Breakfast is 10% off at the restaurant on site, which is fine, but would prefer a free continental. Pool and spa are nice but seemed a little over chlorinated.

Great location, clean and comfortable, restaurant on property with great food, excellent value for our Birthday Getaway! Ross Giant Cedars was a fun and close day trip from Venture Inn! I used to stay there in the 1990’s, still a great value! Chainsaw carving were a great bonus!👍🏼👍🏼

Everything was very good!

We have stayed here many times and like the location and the staff is always very nice. I like that it has the restaurant right there. The food is good and you get 10% off your meals as a guest.

They have only 1 disability room, which we were able to get. The down fault is the this room faces the pool so you can't even open your curtains. They should consider moving the disability room to a better location.

Staff was friendly and courteous. Food at the restaurant was very good, and they gave us coupons for a discount on our breakfast so it was a great deal. Most dinners come with a complimentary trip through their salad bar which was great too. There are wood chainsaw carvings around the property that are just incredible and the entrance is very welcoming. The pool and hot tub were very clean and well maintained, and weren’t overly chlorinated. The room and bathroom was clean, just outdated but that isn’t a problem for me. There are other restaurants and a casino within walking distance which was nice, as well as a visitor center which we didn’t get a chance to see.

Mattresses were hard and not very comfortable for my liking, and the pillows are thin and not comfortable. It wasn’t bad enough to not want to come back though, because the rest of the stay was so pleasant.

Breakfast was up to expectations (I have stayed here before), but my bacon was undercooked, and I had to edit. This one time I am giving the benefit of the doubt to the chef, as the restaurant was slammed that morning, and I'm sure there was a lot of pressure to kick orders out quickly. Next time I'm in and they are that busy, I'll go with the sausage patty. Normally the bacon is excellent (and crisp).

The parking lot was being redone. The new section was close to perfect (it opened the day we arrived), and the best part is that the spacing is adequate to afford each vehicle room. There will be a lot fewer door-dings, and getting in/out of vehicles, easy. There were not enough spaces though, so I ended up parking on a street nearby. When the main lot is done this will no longer be an issue.

Location was nice and the hotel was full of elaborate wood carvings. The pool and hot tub area is a nice bonus although we didn't get to use it. On site restaurant was tasty and decently priced.

The beds were very hard. My husband was hurting after the stay. Bathroom was very outdated but served the purpose. A free continental breakfast would have been nice.

Mountain view! Super comfortable beds with a generous variety of pillows from body to neck sizes. An actually warm pool with hot, deep spa. One of the best we've experienced. $6 voucher per person for an outstanding restaurant breakfast that was reasonably priced to begin with. Eggs Beneduct, French Toast and special recipe pancakes were the best we've had anywhere we've traveled! Staff goes above and beyond to be helpful. Different delectable cookies every evening! This hotel is has exceptionally high quality for a family friendly price!

What didn't we like? For the price over 2 nights the room was great, big enough yet cozy and comfy . The staff couldn't be friendlier. The food at the restaurant was great, ate breakfast and dinner. Big portions. Next time we stay in libby there is no question what hotel we're booking.

Nothing there we didn't like except maybe having to leave and come back home.
