Motel Grand0

The room was larger than normal. In addition to the 2 queen beds, it had a couch, table with chairs, and a glider chair. The extra room was amazing!

The beds were very soft, to the point where they were not comfortable. Felt like a hammock, left me with a sore, stiff back. Lots of things need fixed or improved. *Edit to add* - tried to book the same room and was treated extremely rudely by the staff. I was criticized for having an opinion on a bed...guess that's what happens for honesty in a review. I have since cancelled the upcoming reservation and have already booked at a different motel. If you stay here and leave a review, it better be a 10/10 or be prepared for rudeness from the staff.

The staff is nice and helpful. It's fairly quiet, so I didn't have any trouble sleeping. The price is great! Outside doorway, a single floor, so it's just a few feet from the car to room. The small refrigerator worked well but may not keep things frozen (but I didn't need that).

It's an old place, not a criticism, but anyone booking this motel should be aware. The rooms are small, but that was fine for just me. I'm not sure if there is WiFi, my cell phone didn't detect any signal, but I didn't really need it so I didn't ask about it (they may have it).

The room was vintage 1950s, but everything was in working order and clean. I appreciated the easy chair where I could read before bed. There was a stain on the bottom of the tub (but it is older than me) but the tub was clean. The bed was comfortable. I would stay here again.

The temperature was controlled by the office. I opened the window to cool down before I went to bed and pushed bedspread aside as I get warm when I sleep. I did not find it an enormous problem since I could open and close the window.

Obviously the price! Quiet location - even tho my room was close to highway. Great hot water. Really liked that I could park my car right outside my door. Nice touch to provide fridge & micro even tho I didn't use.

An inroom coffee maker to make instant coffee would have been appreciated since instant coffee was what was offered in office anyway. A coffee drinker NEEDS their coffee first before anything else - like getting dressed & being presentable to the world. 😁 A thermostat in room to control my own preferred temp. Maybe you could offer coffee cups & instant coffee in rooms to make using microwave? You can tell I'm obsessed with COFFEE!

I knew this motel would be an older non-chain motel, and was prepared for this. I found it to be cozy, comfortable, well appointed and just what I wanted. The price was very low. I appreciate that after having paid at least 80 per night everywhere else. Most motels I stayed in were 100 dollars per night. It's refreshing to stay in an older motel. The lady at front desk was friendly and helpful in every way. A fridge and microwave in room, and a good tv. and good internet connection. What more do you want? I like a pool, but I usually get one in the expensive motels. It was o.k. not to swim for a day.

There was no coffee maker in the room......BUT...THERE WAS COFFEE IN THE OFFICE. So a quick walk over gets you coffee.

The woman at the front desk was very helpful and kind. Customer service is nice to find these days.

The flies are terrible but I don't believe there is anything the motel can do about that other than offer fly swatters. Maybe a promotional item. A fly swatter with the motel name on it

This is my second stay at Motel Grand. Both times, I have been very pleased with the room, location, and cleanliness. My room was comfortable and very clean.

No complaints at all!

Altho the motel was older, it was very well maintained and very clean. The lady at the front desk was very nice and answered all of our questions about the local area. She even offered us some ice before leaving.

The furniture was a bit older and springs were over used in the chairs.

Great stay and comfortable sleeping conditions. This motel is right next to a great restaurant. I have stayed here before and always had a great experience.

Cheap. Easy to get to. Good location. They need new beds. The bed was a bit uncomfortable but wouldn't stop my from.going back. If i go back to Chadron I'd stay there again. Cheryl, the owner, was very helpful on giving me info of town. Dogs are welcome at no extra charge if they behave themselves.
