Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Sidney, NE

We were heading back home after a 2 week vacation and needed a place to stay for the night. The location of this hotel was great. It was right off of I-80. Randy checked us in and he was so nice. That particular night several staff members did not show up for work and that left Randy running the place almost all alone. He always had a smile and friendly conversation even though I know he was being put under a lot of stress. He worked through the night and even got the breakfast all prepared for us even though I don't think that was part of his regular duties. As far as the room, it was really big and super nice. It had a large living room area with a TV. The bed was big and very comfortable. We utilized the hot tub and pool. Both were very relaxing. There was also a gas station across the street so it was easy to fuel up and get on the highway after checking out.

I didn't like that the hotel was short staffed. Because of this, many of the rooms were not clean, there were no towels in the pool area and the breakfast was a little unorganized. If everyone would have showed up for work this place would have been perfect .

Interior designer updates with fresh and clean decor. Helpful, friendly staff. Comfortable bed and pillows. A good value for a fresh feel. Very clean! Would stay again.

It’s near/shares a parking lot with a Love’s Truckstop, so I feared it could be grungy inside from over use, but inside the hotel is very clean with some open common spaces (sitting lounge, breakfast, pool). Owners should figure out how to freshen up the outside to make a better road-side impression (green space, potted plants, contrasting paint colors, benches, cedar trim?). I had pre-paid online before arriving, but otherwise I may have passed on this one because of the curb appeal. Stepping inside quickly changed my perception; It was updated and I would stay again.

The room was spacious and fairly comfortable. I especially appreciated the woman who checked me in and dealt with every issue I had. When we discovered that the TV didn’t work, she didn’t hesitate to move me across the hall to an equally comfortable room with working TV.

Needs a bit of maintenance attention. In my first room the fridge needed desperately to be defrosted. So much ice buildup that the door would barely close. It’s a really nice place that need some attention. That said, I would stay there again.

The clerk we had on Sunday night was the friendliest, most professional clerk we've had in a long time! She was delightful and so helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable.

I was surprised that the breakfast wasn't better. Everything else was so good, so we expected the breakfast to be too, but it wasn't. The milk was sour - really. The eggs were too salty. But the biggest disappointment was the lack of grab-and-go breads. Bagels and plain bread. That was it. No muffins or pastries or donuts, which are standard fare at most similarly priced hotels.

This is our second time staying here. We often stop in Sidney as a midway point on our trip cross country. We had a few issues the last time we stayed at this property, but found our most recent stay to be much better. The staff was much more available and friendly. We also found that our room was upgraded. The extra space was appreciated after a long days travel. We travel with our medium sized dog. She was kindly received by the property. We also appreciated the first floor room so it was easy to take her out when needed.

Breakfast options seemed limited this time. This was not our experience the last time we stayed here, so I assume it had more to do with supply chain issues.

Property was very clean, rooms were nice. No funky smells. It doesn’t have an elevator to the second floor so it can be a hassle if you have heavy luggage. Good breakfast the next morning. Right off of 80 and had a couple food options and gas nearby. No vending machines but they do have a tiny shop in the bottom.

The only problems we had were the door handle to our bathroom fell off. The door was still functional so we didn’t worry about it, especially since it was only one night; then there was a staff member who very obviously was flirting with me and it did make me a little uncomfortable, especially since I had my child with me.

Breakfast was typical of most hotels. Some items were packaged for easy travel. This location is just of the highway and easy to get too. The rooms have been remodeled and look good. I have stopped several times driving across the country and the new manager seems to be interested in making the place as best as possible for travelers.

Not much. The breakfast juice machine was broken but - things break from time to time.

Great location, convenient to the freeway. The room was clean and accommodating, and the toiletries were what would be expected in a more expensive motel (not a wall dispenser with buttons for shampoo, conditioner, etc., but individual bottles).

There were two holes in the shower enclosure where a bar should be that you could use as a low grab-bar or hang a washcloth. The bar was missing, and it was obvious that water was going into the holes. I hope the room below mine wasn't flooding! The breakfast was a little lacking in substance (another hot protein besides biscuits and sausage gravy would have been preferable) but started at 5:30am. Many motels don't start serving breakfast until later, and I'm often on the road by the time breakfast is served.

The room was very well arranged and comfortable for an overnight stay. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and well stocked with amenities for a traveler. Overall the stay at Sidney was as I expected it to be.

The breakfast selection was not adequate for a full breakfast while on the road. It was marginal at best for a continental breakfast, which for the price paid for the room I expected a more adequate breakfast menu available.

Needs work. I went down to breakfast at 8 and they were out of eggs, potatoes, and meat. There were no forks, cups .and the orange juice was just giving g you cold water. The coffee pot was empty! There was not a designated person taking care of things. I personally filed the utensils, cups for coffee, wiped down the sticky counters.
