Be aware. The only “restaurant” open was Subway. There is a bar which serves the usual limited menu. The bar itself is rowdy, really did not seem clean. We went in, looked around and left. The folks who live in the town are very nice. My heart goes out to them, the handling of Covid has definitely negatively impacted this lovely village. There is a small restaurant near the hotel, however the hours are very limited. There is a well stocked grocery store in town. We were there to ride the train. Had no idea restaurants were limited.
Really, with Covid, closure of so many small businesses in the town, loss of workers, etc. these folks are doing the best they can.

The hotel and cabins are beautiful, log exterior! Inside is bright and clean, and very roomy. it had a large screen TV, a fridge and microwave as well. We were very impressed with Elkhorn Lodge! Right next-door is Elkhorn restaurant and they had delicious food. We got breakfast there.
there is nothing we didn’t like! It does not have air-conditioning, but it had a fan in the room, which worked wonderfully well. zero complaints from us.

My family loved the location. It was close to everywhere we wanted to go, the beds were very comfortable, it having a kitchen was a plus for us and the restaurant was walking distance. Love that the river was close 👌

Very nice motel. The rooms were nice. I had to use a chair for a night stand, but the bed was comfy and it was very convenient to the railroad.
We opened the windows to enjoy the cool evening air, and the other guests the next morning sounded like they were inside our room. The rooms don't have AC, so you have to open the windows.

Check in was a breeze with the front desk person. Very friendly and informative. The room was very clean and the bed was comfy. Elkhorn Lodge allowed us to use the facility after check out as we needed to review paperwork for a pending house purchase. Elkhorn Lodge...Thank you!

I should have asked for help with the TV. I should have brought groceries. My bad. I went to Subway and paid 20 and change for a sandwich. the guy that ran Subway was an Idiot. I felt sorry for his employees.

We like the location. Stayed here before. Staff is always friendly and answers any questions you have about things to do. Loved the friendly property dog, Mama. She was a sweetheart.

Love the location by the river. Cabins are pleasantly rustic. Love having the kitchenette. A fan was provided and helped with air circulation.
There was no air conditioning. Even a window unit would have improved the air temp. There was no microwave.

Motel was great. City disappointed… unable to find food, only one place for breakfast for entire city( many motels, lots of people). For dinner, one place closed at 600 pm, the only other place open was carry out only, we waited in line for at least half hour. Many tourists in tourists in this city and no places to get food!!
