We had a marvelous stay. We stayed before and after our excursion train trip on the C&T. Owners were friendly and had great communication. We got very clear instructions on parking and entry. The room was immaculate. Bed was very comfy. Our balcony (Cumbres room) faced the railroad depot, so my hubby(retired RR engineer) was in Heaven. There were two great rockers and table on the balcony, so we used it until we got cold. The views of the mountains add to the charm. The bathroom was so luxurious - large with beautiful tile work, wonderful shower with great water pressure and option for handheld shower head. There was a Keurig coffee maker and plenty of coffee. We appreciated the treats left for us as well. We will definitely be back.

There were only two small things that I might suggest as improvements - having a few teabags for those of us who don’t drink coffee. And it might be nice to have seating for two inside. The chair was very comfortable, but one of us had to sit on the bed while having coffee/tea. These are minor - this room was near perfect! I highly recommend this location.

Everything we had in the room was enough for what we needed. We did not request room service at any point (ie: extra towels, daily cleaning, clean sheets). The room was nicely decorated and eye appealing. The bathroom / shower was extra large and water pressure was excellent. I would book this location again.

We could have used a small table inside the room but overall it was nice. Wasn't a fan of the chairs out on the balcony. Would have preferred something more comfortable.

The location was fantastic, especially as we were looking to stay near the train depot. The room was decorated well, and all the attention to detail was top notch. Our room was very comfortable and extremely quiet and clean.

The only suggestion I would make, is that being someone who is only 5’0; it was impossible for me to see into the bathroom mirror over the sink. I was able to use the lighted mirror provided on the wall, but a step stool or other option would have been much appreciated.

Location next to historic train. Very comfortable room.

Town of Chama currently has a water purification problem that we had no knowledge prior to and after our arrival. Property host provided plenty of bottled water but posted no notes warning guests not to drink the tap water. We thought this lack of posting was a serious oversight on their part.

When we first walked into the room we felt so comfortable. The room was beyond beautiful. This was all for my husband and boy was he surprised. Walked around the room and loved it all. The shower heated up right away. The train yard was just out the balcony. The bed comfortable. Towels so fluff. Supplied with all the sundries. This place made his 13 hrs train excursion wonderful. Also there was a deer just out for him to see.

That we had to leave to move on to our next adventure. We have nothing bad to say.

Gorgeous, uniquely furnished room. Especially wonderful bathroom. Right next to train station. Noise-proof windows. Everything was great.

We loved everything. At first I was leery that the owners are not on the premises but it was not a problem. They provide codes to get in and someone is in the store downstairs if you have any questions. Some noise from other guests.

The location is excellent if you are there to ride the train. The rooms were cozy and very stylish. Loved everything about the room. Balcony view. Though we brought our own, there was a very nice supply of soap, shampoo, and lotion. The way you are checked in and out is modern and real easy.

There wasn't anything we didn't like about the room.

Everything about the room was fantastic. The furniture, decor, and little details made the stay feel like an escape to another time. The little luxuries- coffee maker with all the goodies, the fridge, the books, glassware, and the incredible bath products, were a great attention to detail, and made the room feel comfortable and relaxing.

There was nothing to not like!

Location was perfect for strolling a few yards for dinner at Local and breakfast at Elaine’s Coffee shop. It was also next to the Cumbres and Toltec Railroad station, so it we was perfect for watching the steam train depart. It would be a wonderful place to stay if one was planning to take the train. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable, and the shower was awesome.

The owners definitely created an awesome room experience. The quality of the furniture, bed, bathroom were 5 Star.

With most of the town shutting down at 5pm. A microwave would have been nice to at least heat a meal. Since check in is at 4pm. By the time you settle into your room, the town is closed down. But still a great experience. Also, no closet.
