Townsman Motel

Boise City is a remote Oklahoma town that is in decline. There is one place to get a burger but no beer. Times are tough in Boise City. But the people are proud and polite and respectful. I'm good with that. The motel was classic old school with drive up outside doors. The exterior drive needs repair but not really necessary. The big thing is the rooms were clean. direct TV and wifi with a nice new 32 inch tv. Clean sheets and a very comfortable bed. I recommend if you need to stop in the town. And the bathroom was equally clean.

The location wasn't fabulous but it was a small town and it was handy, not far from the highway, but far enough so we didn't have highway noise. Room was quite cheap, but for the price, it was very clean and fresh. There has been a lot of updating done. Shower and tub, the carpet, the bed covers, etc. all looked quite new. All were clean. Sheets looked fresh and clean. We had a working frig and microwave. We were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and freshness for the price. The staff were friendly, suggesting where we could walk our dog with a little more space.

Would have liked a bigger and lower window but it was okay for one night. The windows are high, above the air conditioner. Also, the bathroom fan, which came on automatically with the lights, was a little noisy.

There was no breakfast advertised. We were very impressed by the cleanliness and the comfort of the rooms. There was a problem with the TV that I, sure would have been fixed if we had asked, but we decided we didn’t really want to watch. Cass greeted us warmly and she and her husband were quite friendly and helpful.

This was by no means a luxurious motel, but very clean and comfortable. We had been traveling for two weeks and found this motel the best as far as meeting our needs for a one night stay at a very reasonable price.

Easy to find location. The room was surprisingly quiet. Super clean. Although breakfast was not provided, there was a great little diner just a couple of blocks away and a well known travel center across the street. I would stop here again for sure.

We arrived after dark and I wasn't sure where to park the large moving van we were driving, but the staff helped with that. Perhaps a sign would help? It appears the front courtyard area may be in the remodeling process. I hope the finished product will be attractive!

SO CLEAN! You can tell the motel is getting on in years, but there is not a spot of dirt or grime anywhere, it smells fresh(like the carpet gets cleaned on a regular basis), the grounds were free of trash. You can tell that they take care of the place. We checked in very late, but were still greeted and checked in in a warm and friendly manner. I appreciate the helpfulness and good attitude of the staff. The bed was firm and comfortable. The water pressure was nice and steady. I appreciate the masonry walls, which meant we didn't hear a single peep from any neighbors and were able to sleep in a bit in the morning. Overall, this motel is wonderful.

I have zero complaints

Spotless, comfortable older hotel. Room is well thought out, well designed, and has everything you need, including hair dryer, fridge and microwave. TV is high definition and very large. The owner helped me figure out something in my computer which was not allowing me to reach certain websites. He spent about an hour figuring out and then fixing the problem. Really nice simple hotel, which is a breath of fresh air compared to the large chain motels.

Nothing really. The owner would like to consider adding a simple breakfast to the amenities. That would be a real treat. But really, the vibe is very nice and it's quiet.

Newly remodeled with some very thoughtful improvements. Room was very well lit - unlike a lot of dark rooms that make it virtually impossible to see anything. 4 desk/table lights and very bright overhead 3-4 foot LED. Two comfortable chairs. HI def TV with satellite channels. Met and chatted with husband and wife owners for several minutes.

No breakfast but we knew that wasn't included. (Subway and Love's gas station right across street)

We weren't going to arrive until 2 a.m. and I called ahead to see if that was okay as we already had a reservation. We were told to go ahead and come. We felt bad about waking her up but was relieved since we had already paid. It was clean and we were very happy. We would stay here again if ever in the area.

Nothing, everything was great!

The owners were super nice. Got us checked in super quickly and it was a nice room. It's definitely older style/outdated. But it was still clean and it was a great size.

The outside looked a little... Scary. The whole town just looks run down and a little sketchy. But overall the inside of the room was nice and there were no security or safety issues.

There was no breakfast. We stayed here because of the location. We did not want to drive any further.

Update exterior, fixing brown spots over windows and resurface parking area, adding some landscaping or hardscaping. Scrub bathroom floors, removing extra caulking, paint and embedded dirt in corners. Replace bathroom tile for aesthetics only.
