Flamingo Inn

The room was large and very clean. The AC kept us cool in the incredible heat. The bed was very comfortable. Very easy parking. The furniture in the registration office was gorgeous. The couple who are the managers there were delightful. Fun flamingos on the doors.

We could have used more pillows and an extra blanket. And the towels were very thin. There was a coffee station, but there was no decaf. The coffee was acceptable to drink.

Very roomy and the bed was Very Comfortable. Owner was very helpful in recommending a good place to eat. Please don't pass this place up and don't let the affordable cost scare you away. I Highly Recommend!!!

Just one small issue. Shower water pressure which in my opinion could be corrected by installing a new reasonably priced Shower Head! (Just calcium build up in existing Shower Head)

After a few places that was less than acceptable the Flamingo Inn was above my expectations. This is a diamond. Stop in for the night and help support this mom and pop place in Elk City Oklahoma it is right on Rt 66

It could use a little more water pressure in the shower. looking for something to say about the place.

We arrived just before midnight & the owner was very welcoming, happy to provide us with extra pillows & towels & even willing to chat a bit about the history of the “Flamingo” & the town before bidding us a good nights sleep giving us the feeling of coming home to family for a visit. Also, great water pressure!!!

Great savings and location . Route 66. The mother Road! Does it get any better? I like pink Flamingos. Just thinking about all the people that have stayed there over the years. It's like we are a part of History.

The hotel smelled a bit musty. Not in a mildew kind of way. In an old Hotel kind of way. Not sure that this is necessarily a negative. New hotels can have a paint smell. Wish the pool and old neon sign were still there.

The staff was friendly and professional. The motel was a nice addition to the Route 66 experience. The cost was the best value for money of any motel that we stayed at between Chicago and Los Angels.

There was not one single factor that I would consider negative. It was a Sunday so some of the local businesses were closed but that wasn't through any fault of the motel.

This hotel was an absolute bargain, and a steal for the quality. They refurbished the room very nicely with new furniture, with plenty of built-in plugs and lights. And clean new carpet. Bed was very comfortable, room was quiet, being set far back from the street. Big TV, much larger than expected. I used the fridge for my breakfast stuff, and to make ice for my next day's travels. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

It was difficult to control the hot water in the shower at first. It seemed like the valve was stuck, but then it started working and there were no other issues.

If you like vintage motels then this is the place. Old building with small tall window but it had all things motels of that era have. What else you need for a stay in Elk City anyway?

All is good considering is an old motel

I arrived later than I expected and felt bad about disturbing the Hosts. But the woman was very friendly. The room looked to be recently remodeled and very comfortable. Bathroom was a good size and lots of counter space. I like the "motor lodge" style motel for the privacy and ease of bringing luggage in and out of room.

I missed not having a pot of coffee in the lobby and never have cared for the taste of in-room, single serve (or small pot) coffee. But it was made clear on the website, so I knew I would need to go out for coffee and breakfast.

Surprisingly good little rural motel. Great price, clean rooms, extremely friendly & helpful staff. Weather was 27f when I was there. The room was warm and cozy. Iron & ironing board, coffee maker, microwave & little refrigerator Blocks away from grocery store and Route 66 museum Even the WiFi was decent for the rural location.
