Holiday Inn - Columbia - Downtown, an IHG Hotel

Loaction is good. Room was clean. Staff was friendly

Breakfast service: Poorly staffed (maybe it was just bad luck that weekend) but since they were short handed it took a long time. Also breakfast wasn't free of charge as advertised it was just for two people although we were 3 in a room which wasn't explained properly anywhere. Parking is on the 5th or 4th floor can't remember of an adjacent building but there is no connection between buildings so you need to go main floor level then walk to the parking lot take and elevator and go up. The entrance to the parking building is through an alley so it feels a little odd. You need to ask for a pass in order to get int and out of the parking lot so make sure to ask for it at the front desk.

OMG! I was so nervous about staying downtown, but the location was so amazing! We were within walking distance of everything. The bar and staff were amazing! Our room was spotless, tidy, and we had the most amazing view. Our front desk rep Christian was Awesome! He was so friendly and really helped me with a stressful check-in. I don't know how my visit would've went if he didn't check me in.

There is nothing that you can fix, this property exceeded our expectations.

I thought that the room itself was good, however it was a bit on the small size. A larger room layout would have been better but all in all, it was cozy.

I didn't partake in the breakfast as the time for it and due to the still covid restrictions, it was too much of a bother. Seating downstairs was very limited and having to use my room key to access the elevator with food was a bit too much. Parking should have been free with your stay instead of it being an extra charge...especially when valet service was offered as an option but there was no valet.

We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. The location was great for the visit we planned (relative lives two blocks away). The room was very nice and the remodel of the office building was done very well to make it a hotel. We were not told the parking would be an extra expense but the parking garage next door was good and access was very easy. The alley (access to the parking garage) was a little dirty but it is what I would expect in a downtown setting. Fortunately the parking garage was not very full and spaces were available in the 1st to 3rd levels without a problem.

I requested a room with two beds and we got it. However, One bed was pushed against the wall so there was little room to access the bed and only one bedside table between the two beds, therefore not having access to a bedside table on the outsides of the beds. I've experienced this before in hotels (you're not the first) and I seem not to have learned my lesson "not" to ask for two beds. I should request a one bed/king bed room from now on! Maybe I'll learn....

Your hotel rooms were unbelievably gorgeous and comfortable. The cleanliness of the entire room was impeccable. I wish every hotel room was like yours.

As a female with my daughter, I was a little nervous walking back and forth from the hotel doors to the parking garage. And I'm not a paranoid person.

All the staff was friendly from the cleaning staff to thefront desk person. The front desk always had someone available to assist, answer questions, and they were polite. The hotel is right in the center of town, and a very convenient walk.

Small trash cans, without bags. By the end of several days the trash build up was intense. The parking lot is a walk from the building through a scary alley. Would not walk alone at night.

We had an overall very good experience at this Holiday Inn. The facilities were all very clean and the beds so comfortable that we wanted to take one home! The staff were all super friendly and helpful so that’s a huge plus. However, I can’t attest to the social distancing procedures because we really didn’t see that many people this weekend in the hotel.

I think this property would’ve exceeded my expectations had the price been a little lower. I do feel that an $80 to $90 price point would’ve been more accurate to the location and facilities. This is because parking was not included and neither was breakfast. It would be better to include those things in the overall cost if I’m still going to get charged $120 for a night. Plus all of the extra fees.

Meals after 7:00 pm any where was not available in the city. At least within the city area ( walking) disappointed for visitors…. Could be from the added tax for alcohol for small businesses!!!

Location excellent. Room comfy / nice / clean / accomodating. Bathroom exceptional. Staff fulfilled my request to be in corner room on high level. I appreciate that. One drawback was parking - not convenient. But all around very good stay. thank you!

Parking situation. But I understand with it being a downtown hotel. Upside to that was the location, which was good. Acceptable trade off.

The beds are amazing. They are so comfortable. The hotel is very clean. Small, so you won’t have trouble finding your way.

A mixup because I keep my credit cards locked for security nearly caused us to be canceled. The person handling it, who happened to be the manager, was unhelpful and borderline rude handling the matter as we tried to navigate to the location. I think she made a snap decision that we were deadbeats and she held on to that opinion. We had to dress in a hotel bathroom for our event because there was no chance to check in before 3pm. I have never had that happen. We got much better service and assistance from the desk associate who was there later in the day. Lots of snarky attitude because I made a mistake with a locked card. She did not tell us about the hotel parking level. We paid double for parking as a result. She was just rude.
