Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbia, SC

The room was sufficient. It was quiet and comfortable.

The floors,countertop, & doorways were sticky as molasses.(even the tile floors in the lobby had spilled sticky stuff on them) No toilet paper,and no bedding was in the room for the sofa bed. Website said there was a pool, but didn't say it was closed for renovations. Dirty dishes were in dishwasher. The shampoo dispenser was empty as well.

It’s not our first time stay in Homewood suites. We stayed in Homewood suites in different places because we like the kitchen idea. So we liked everything such as cleanliness, hot breakfasts, and front desk people.

Room service was available if requested by 8 PM on previous night (because lots of people don’t like room service due to pandemic) but anyone can get new bath towels and other stuff anytime from front desk. We didn't choose room service due to pandemic so we need to call the front desk and go there to get new bath towels and other things. It would be wonderful if bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, coffee etc. stuff were delivered every morning and soiled towels were collected in front of the door from those who didn’t chose room service so people don't need to call and run to the front desk every morning/afternoon. I didn't see enough hand sanitizer every floor. Some were empty and never filled out.

It was quiet and clean. We chose it because of it's location to the River Walk. Staff was very friendly!

Our room was apparently just renovated. There was a wall sconce that was hung but not well. It was not plugged in. No outlet close by. We had to leave it on the floor because if you gently brushed against it, it would fall. Not a big deal.

The staff were great. The location was perfect.

The first room we were assigned had excessive grout around the drain in the shower. The toilet seat had a dent (divet) that did not speak to the quality of the hotel. The exercise room treadmill was not functioning and the swimming pool was under construction.

The staff was very professional and friendly.

The pool was closed. The paintings were missing from the walls. The halls entering to the rooms were hot the AC was blowing but it wasn't cool at all. The room had a slight odor. The coffee was cold with the complimentary breakfast. The microwave was broken. I was very disappointed i payed upscale prices and was expecting Hilton quality and received Motel 6 services.

The staff was so kind and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, worth the price.

We had a problem with the pillows of our pullout sofa being damp and a little sour smelling, but the front desk got us some new, dry, and fresh smelling ones. We were also a little disappointed that the pool is being renovated right now, so it wasn't open. We do however want to come back, and check it out when it reopens.

The location was good. I didn't have time to eat.

The water pressure in the shower was really bad. The kitchen was very nice. However there was no dish soap, dishwasher detergent nor any dish towels. The ice machine on our floor #4 & the floor below were not working.

The best thing about this hotel was the staff omg they were marvelous. Anything I needed they were there. I also left a few items and they immediately called me. Amazing Staff!

The only thing I didn't like was the walls were dirty as well as the window had dust everywhere. I had to go in a wipe down the walls and window shade and the sheets were not clean.

We love the location as to how close we were to the zoo. We Liked the location from the local Stores We were missing chairs for the table, however the staff was so quick to replace them.

The room (502) was a little unclean and dated The cabinets had serious water damage (the draws were buckling from what look like excess moisture. There was food in the window seal. We were missing chairs for the table, however the staff was so quick to replace them.

The staff was amazing, the facility and rooms were exceptionally clean and the breakfast was wonderful

It'll be great for breakfast to be extended to 11 am especially on the weekends and 12 noon checkout time instead of 11 am.
