Hampton Inn & Suites Denison

The attitude of the attendant that checked us in. He acted like it was a bother that he had to do it. I had to get help to find staff to check us in because there was no one at the front desk. Once the cleaning lady found him he started giving me a lecture about having to wait and proceeded telling me a story about waiting at a Dallas restaurant for 2 hours for service. I was like sir I just want to check in. We arrived after 3pm so I am not sure why he or someone was not ready to receive guests. We were in town for a family funeral. The last thing we needed or expected was attitude from the hotel staff. Won't be back!

The breakfast options were great! Everything was fresh and quite appealing.

I tried to check in around 3:35 as I had indicated when making an on line reservation. When I arrived, there was a gentleman in front of me waiting to check in, and there was no one at the counter. You could tell the gentleman was frustrated as well as I was. I did not wait long because I had a 4:00 appointment to get to that required driving through some of the highway construction and wanted to allow time for any traffic. This was disappointing. I have no idea when an attendant showed up. Perhaps there was an emergency of some type.

Very nice rooms. Extremely clean. Beds were very comfortable. We were very impressed with the setup of the hotel. it was very warm and inviting and very well maintained.

We stayed on april 18th and my husband went to pay for another night around 7 am and the guy at the desk told him that the hotel was completely booked for that day april 19th. When he told me what the front desk had said i got on booking.com and didn't have any problem reserving another room for that day and they had at least four or five extra rooms available to rent. So why did the guy at the front desk tell my husband that there wasn't any rooms available at all when there was. Also on our first night staying we were in room 222 and the view out our window was the pool and it was disgusting it was so green that you couldn't even see through it and there was things floating in it that I don't even want to know what it was.

The breakfast was great! I especially liked the eggs. The dining room was nice and roomy and clean. We enjoyed breakfast. Our room was nice and clean. The staff was exceptionally kind and upbeat.

The original toilet paper dispenser was broken but not removed. A different one was installed under the sink but it was tight and difficult to get paper off of it.

Nice clean room, comfortable.

Big handicap bath room, small outdated tub. Could use extended shower curtain rod so it doesn't rub against you when you shower.

Our only issue with the stay, was when arriving around midnight with my small grandkids, we were given the wrong key card to a room already being used. We entered a room that obviously had people staying in it. The TV was on the beds were all disarray and you could hear voices in the bathroom. It was a little concerning considering how that could have been handled had the people seen us. But the people were total oblivious to a room full of strangers and that entered into their hotel room and the person working the desk seem to have zero cares that this actually even happened. No apology was given, much less an explanation

I often drive long distance to be able to stay with my family for several weeks and I always stop at this hotel. It's right off the Interstate. The rooms are always pristine and it's quiet.

The shower head in my room was not working perfectly. It still worked and that was the only tiny thing that was not perfect.

Staff super friendly. Clean facilities. Comfortable beds.

Only thing I didn't like was the water pressure in the shower. It was almost nonexistent

Location was great. The food was excellent. We had coffee(wonderful), sausage, eggs and waffles. Very nice. Cleanliness and organized.no

Do not have a thing to complain about....
