Hillcrest Inn & Suites Ozona

I liked the large rooms with plenty of space to put my suitcase and bags. The fridge got my water bottles cold overnight and the bathroom was adequate. One particularly great feature at the motel was their parking spaces. They were wide and when I saw all the trucks parked there then I understood why. And each parking space is right in front of your room, unless someone else parks in front of it. The motel was very close to two good restaurants. We ate at the Hitchen' Post, which as as redneck as you can get, for supper that serves a mean grilled pork chop. The other is Pepe's where I ate an excellent chorizo and eggs plate for breakfast.

This place needs two ice machines. Because of all the roughnecks and truckers who stay here and leave before 7am, the ice machine is emptied of ice into their large coolers. I went to get ice at 8:30am and that was way too late to get ice for my 2-quart cooler.

Breakfast was good. Waffles in the shape of Texas(fun), bagels, cream cheese, 2 types of cereals, apples, bananas, 2 types of juice and coffee, tea (only non dairy creamer or milk, no 1/2 & 1/2). Nice for a free breakfast. Manager and staff were very nice. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. No bugs. Furniture a bit dated, but still nice. Nice having refrigerator in room. Nice hot shower. Shampoo and soaps provided. Overall very nice motel for an older style property. Parking in from of rooms and space for larger vehicles in lot in front of office.

People did not park in front of their room so had to park a couple spaces from my room and you have to back out of parking area, no turn around area. Other than that everything was nice.

it is one level with parking spaces right outside your door, so very easy to deal with luggage. the room was clean & beds comfortable. We could have paid $50 or $60 more for another property, but wouldn’t get any more. i appreciated that the room had many thought out conveniences. The plugs were easy to reach for electronics. the lights were easy to locate, & in the right locations. it had a portable table in wheels to put where you needed it. i like that pet designated rooms have no carpet in them. There is an EV charge station about a half mile away, at the Hampton Inn. The breakfast had waffles (shaped like Texas LOL), bagels & cream cheese, oatmeal etc; just no eggs & sausage.We would stay here again when we are passing through, looking for an easy, reasonably priced motel.

i never like it when properties add a 15-20$ pet fee.

Ozona us a one horse town... Cable tv is weird... Analog and digital.. No guide ... If you get the hang of it might be able to get what you want ( sports ) Eating places very limited ... Eat early is best Good brfast/ qik/ DQ goood--- steakhouse good--Mexican food -- good.. No pool unusual parking but at your front door We stay often when on our way to SA

Manager very helpful and allowed us to chose quiet room. Had a coffe pot brought to us promptly and helped with TV. Very big roomy room, big counter for putting all luggage onto. Beds very compfy. Waffles, fruit and cereal etc for breakfast. Very adequate. Close to hwy but not noisy. Modern and clean!. Lots of super bright lights in the room!

Some newer towels would make it perfect!

Very welcoming and friendly staff who helped us with tips and guidance. The room was spacious and comfortable including a very comfortable armchair. Nice that the auto setting on the AC worked. The continental breakfast was good and the waffle shaped like Texas was excellent. Would recommend this to others.

The lighting in the room was a bit cold and industrial, and the walls could do with a decorative painting or so.

It was a good stopping point between El Paso and Houston. Rooms and beds were large. The area was convenient to restaurants and gas stations.

the shower curtain in our room was too small, causing water to spill over onto the floor. Breakfast could be improved by having some healthy choices like fresh fruit, plain yogurt.

The staff was very nice, the room was clean and spacious. The amenities are good. The heater worked great which was a blessing considering how cold it was there. The continental breakfast was sufficient.

$30 pet fee for one little 10 pound dog sort of excessive. The beds are way too firm a pillow top mattress would be a wonderful upgrade.

We really needed a hotel/motel for the night after driving 7 hours. The manager was nice and the hotel was very clean! Plenty of towels, air conditioning was cool, and water was hot. I would stay here again.

Breakfast could have included some protein like eggs or sausage. I did see waffles and bagels.

Property exceeded my expectation for the low price I paid for the room. Newer renovations, close to interstate, VERY clean, EXCELLENT customer service, great breakfast, parking right out side the room door, pet friendly but did not smell like pets. Would stay again any day!!!!

Everything was great - no complaints!
