Strikingly beautiful setting among the sandstone cliffs and boulders. The whole place has a rugged, outdoor feel while offering the comforts of luxury lodging. The gas campfires at night created quiet gathering places for guests while softly illuminating the surrounding cliffs. Our room was huge, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. Coffee maker & fridge were great. Our deck provided a lovely space to enjoy the amazing view. A narrow, steep trail offered a challenging hike high up the cliff (with steel ladders in an area which was otherwise impassable). A little on-site cafe provided a limited menu (don't expect a formal dinner), some seating both inside and on a patio. We ordered a pizza & salad and brought them to our deck to enjoy. Both were fresh & delicious.Every single staff member was helpful & seemed happy to be there.

This place is so close to perfect, it's hard to think of something negative. The convenient location right on the main highway does create a bit of traffic noise.

We did a 5 day trip through Arizona / Utah / Nevada, staying in 5 different places, and Bluff Dwellings was the best place we stayed in. The location is absolutely stunning if you like rocks, the town is small and very friendly. The pool is luxurious, the fire pits around the property are great for evening chill outs, and the room was perfect!

The only thing I didn't like was that the clocks jumped forward and hour when we crossed the state line, so we lost an hour of chilling out by the pool in the afternoon - obviously not the properties fault, but if you want that extra relaxing time after all the desert exploring - get there early :)

Bluff Dwellings was a fabulous resort. The architecture, design, and colour selections blended beautifully into the surroundings. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and it had all the amenities you would expect from a fine establishment. We chose the walkout on the first floor, which was a great choice. They lit a fire pit each evening for warmth. The Cedar Shack served a nice breakfast. The people were warm and friendly. The resort was spotless. The ambiance was calm and restful.

Everything was great - nothing to say here.

We received a call the morning of our stay from the hotel to confirm arrival time and answer any questions. I thought that was a nice touch. This person also recommended the top (3rd) floor saying it was more private and quiet, which it was. our king room was huge with a nice size private balcony in bank and a shared patio in front. Everything was clean and comfortable. Staff helped carry luggage up to the room. the pool / hot tub was a good size with plenty of seating.

Just want to mention that the cafe has limited options and can get really busy at dinner time. We waited ~45 minutes for food. Duke’s , a full service restaurant up the road, had an hour wait at 7:30. these were the only options for dinner in bluff on a Wednesday.

Modern facilities completed within a very tasteful design. The thoughtful planning of this venue includes shaded lounge areas outside the rooms. The buildings are beautifully lit during the evening, with a great outdoor pool and hot tub. Used this location as a base for visiting Mesa Verde, Monument Valley and Canyon de Chelly (we did quite a bit of driving!). Having a dip in the pool and then pizzas around the fire pit lit right outside our room was a great way to end the day.

Cannot fault this venue. We were very happy with our accommodation that has an occupancy of six, but some families may not like the open plan style of the bedroom. It reminded us of the TV show "Love Island". Likewise, we were happy with the "gravel track" road and carpark as it fits well with the housing style and the hot weather conditions, whereas others may only like driving on tarmac. Given we arrived on a very hot day in peak summer, we did appreciate our AC room and the luxury that the AC was already running. As hotels often remind guests to consider the environment when it comes to laundering towels, perhaps we can also do away with the AC running before guests arrive. This would also make the outdoor areas slightly quieter for those sitting round a fire pit.

beautiful location

we had an issues with the pillows. because of allergies, we had requested feather free pillows prior to arriving and confirmed again at check-in which staff confirmed this was in place. unfortunately, 3 of the 4 pillows had feathers but by the time we realised it was very late at night. in the morning when we explained how this mistake had aggravated our allergies and hence the importance to follow through with requests, staff were dismissive about their mistake.

It was a beautiful location! And the bed was comfortable, the sheets were soft, and the room was laid out nicely. The check in and check out was so quick and easy. We really enjoyed our stay! Will definitely come back!

The only concerns we had was there were bugs crawling around on the floor. It was a little unnerving because they were large bugs. And the shower heads took turns going cold, but warmed back up quickly. Those are the only complaints we could think of.

The hotel is awesome. It's built into a small canyon, which gives it a very unique atmosphere. The rooms are very spacious, clean and well-equiped. The resort is very nice ... it features a pool area and a small bistro with decent food. It is in a great location to explore Valley of the Gods or Monument valley from but you could also just stay in this resort and relax for a few days. Would totally stay here again, mostly because it's a great place but also in part because it is one of the very few decent hotels in the region.

Pretty pricey but okay for the standard.

Our children especially enjoyed the pool and slide. We stayed one day and they swam all morning and were by themselves for a large part of the time. The playground and cornhole and volleyball were also a lot of fun. We requested a fire at the front desk and they set one up for us and provided sticks for s'mores. We had to provide our own supplies. I was okay wtih this, but I was a bit surprised as it had been mentioned as complimentary in a description I had read on the website. The location is beautiful and very unique. We stayed in the family suite and had a whole unit to ourselves which was terrific. There was a king bed and bathroom downstairs and a queen bed, bunks, and bathroom upstairs as well. We were grateful for the kitchen and bbq grill for preparing meals. The grocery story was in Blanding, about 25 minutes away. There was a convenience store closer, but it was closed on the 4th of July. There is also construction happening as they are adding new units, but that didn't affect our stay because we were there over the weekend. We ordered food from the cafe and enjoyed that as well. The pizzas are good sized and several people can share one.

We were a little bit surprised that the property is so close to the road, and we could hear traffic, although not through the walls of our suite.

We loved staying here at Bluff Dwellings! The property is amazing with every little detail. We loved watching the stars while in the hot tub. Our room was very spacious and the beds were comfy. We loved the fire pits and plenty of outdoor seating available right outside our room. We visited some local hikes to ancient ruins during the day, and coming back to our hotel where it had similar aesthetics of some of the same ancient ruins made our stay exciting. Can’t recommend this place enough
