Hotel Northland, Autograph Collection

The location was great. We parked in the garage (free on weekends) that connects to the hotel via a 2nd floor walkway usable once you've checked in and have a key. And we walked to a wonderful restaurant for dinner, Mangiare (highly recommend, though it is expensive, but food and service are wonderful!). The following day, we walked to breakfast at The Creamery (which didn't have pancakes--my heart, and stomach, were set on pancakes!) but was such a pretty spot to sit and eat looking out on the snow-banked Fox River. We headed back to the hotel and requested a later checkout time (happily granted), prepared for my book event at Lion's Head Bookstore, checked out and headed over to my event. In addition to being in a great location, the hotel has a comfortable upholstered bench and armchair, and a nice table and desk chair at which to do some work.

The bed could have been softer. I had just been at a different hotel in Minneapolis at which the bed was like sleeping on stone and all of my bones broke there. The bed at The Northland was an improvement, but not by a whole lot.

The bed was really nice and so was the bathroom.

Check in. Booked two rooms. Only one at check in. The clerk went to check a computer and could see we booked a second room, and was able to reserve a room- not so close to the first one. Took over an hour to finally get the room. One of my friends was having a panic attack over not having the room. Why didn’t you just give us the room and then do your computer stuff behind the scenes instead of making us wait for the computer and human error to be fixed before we got the room. We got punished for something that was not our fault.

Everything was exceptional! Clean, beautiful- period decor from the roaring 20’s complete with soft jazz playing in the background. Behind the front counter is a display of old skeleton room keys- very cool! The bed was like sinking into a cloud- I have never slept in a hotel bed as comfortable as this one. The room was spacious and the bathroom looked like a spa. It was extraordinary, the standard by which we’ll measure all other hotels we stay at against.

Nothing. If I had to pick on anything it would be that the bar and restaurant closed earlier than we had expected so we had to Door Dash food. Minor inconvenience and not the hotel’s fault though.

All staff was great housekeeping very friendly. The front desk staff when checking in was not. Getting info was like pulling teeth. She simply checked us in told us nothing about extras or parking. Etc. asked question scout checkout appeared like we were bothering her. Asked question in morning of different staff he was exceptional. Other than her attitude stay was great.

Loved the bathtub. The bed was very comfortable the room/rooms were very spacious. parking was very easy to navigate. pricing overall was very reasonable. Service even after hours was easy and very very fast. Wasn't my first stay, certainly won't be the last!

Everything exceeded our expectations and was all around fantastic. No complaints whatsoever

This place was great. I came for some alone time with my girlfriend to get away and relax from everything going on. Our room was very nice and clean just like the pictures posted online. My main concern about a hotel room is cleanliness and everything was spotless. At no moment did I feel disgusted with my stay. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly at all times, even when I asked where I could get something to eat at 2 am after an event we came in from. The next day we had breakfast in the Walnut Room and it was also a great experience. The portions were generous and the food was good. Definitely worth it. I will definitely come back again.

We only stayed one night as a getaway of sorts and had never explored downtown, despite many Packers games and passing thru to Door County. The hotel itself was a grand old building. Someone told us it was recently remodeled. The room and bed were upscale and very comfortable. We ate breakfast at their restaurant and it was delicious! Good Covid spacing and precautions at the hotel. Walking distance to things downtown on that side of the river.

Parking in the ramp next door was a bit of a hassle at check in. We had to park on the 3rd level then walk down and around to the front door. Once in and we had a hotel key card, we could get in where we parked. Parking vouchers are given by hotel.

Was nice location, downtown walking distance to bars, city deck etc. Beautiful room and compfy bed!

No place to park to even checkin and had to park in ramp. At least weekend ramp was free parking. I booked thru Booking.com for a price with King bed and they switched to two doubles and price was higher, they said due to weddings they had to give King rooms to them?? Why did I bother to book in April then?

We were very impressed with the support staff. they were friendly and helpful. In particular, Martize. They seemed to be cleaning and wiping down every surface throughout.

The front desk was a little lacking on customer service. they were not very forthcoming with information, basically trying to move us along even thought there was no one waiting. We are not very computer/ phone savvy and they just assumed that we understood. Had we been more computer literate, we would have found the bowling alley before the last day.

We rented 2 rooms for a wedding and the front desk was very kind and accommodating to our requests. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I love historic properties done well. This hotel was nicely updated in a way that honored the history and felt current all at the same time. The public spaces were beautiful.
