Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Prairie du Chien, WI

We loved the pool!! The room was nice, but frankly for the price you pay at most hotels it could be nicer. Heated floors in the bathroom would be awesome, but I know how difficult it is to put those in. I am just one of those people that thinks hotel rates are outrageous so I'm probably never going to be completely satisfied. I can think a place is gorgeous, and I have stayed in some, but you pay through the nose to stay in them. But again, we loved the pool and we enjoyed our stay immensely!!

The rate, but I will never like hotel rates. When you work hard for your money it's hard to let it go to sleep in a strange bed/room that isn't really that special. Nice, but not special.

The entire building was very clean. Breakfast was fine; I was just interested in slightly more healthy food options (less carbs, less greasy meat, less sugar). The coffee was also so-so (both Gourmet & Bold). Otherwise, everything was awesome.

The pillows in the room were pretty bad. They looked substantial, but upon laying down on them, they flattened to almost nothing pretty quickly. We will be bringing our own pillows from home next time.

The check-in staff. Even though someone was training, it went well. We also had specific room location requests and the clerk rearranged some things to make that happen. Country Suites is our "go to." Always friendly staff and hot breakfast choices.

TV channel listing. The font used is way to small for anyone over 50 to read. Even with glasses. Ran out of tissue after taking 4-5 sheets from the box. No backup in the room. Toilet was running at check in. Later, the chain broke off the lift mechanism 3 times during our stay. Fortunately, my husband was familiar enough to fix each time. Vending machine was out of water and did not return my $2. The desk was able to refund. Stairway carpet needed vacuuming at check-in. Around 3:30-4:00 on Monday, April 4.

The breakfast showed a variety to choose from for all ages. I was traveling with a 5 and 7 year old and I'm their grandmother. We were able to pick and choose what we wanted unlike at home. The staff was incredible from the front desk to the cleaning staff.

The bathroom we had in our room was a tight fit for a walker. I had to get on hands and knees to move around in there especially when helping my grandson change a wet swimming suit.

Everything about our room was great. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. We were able to get a wide selection of channels on the rooms TV. The Temperature in the room was easy to control and there was no bad odors in the room.

In the Bar and Grill their was only one person waiting on customers. After a little while another waiter appeared. He was surprised at the number of customers there. Once he was there service was normal.

Continental breakfast was fantastic. The staff who took care of it did a great job. Housekeeping was very friendly and rooms were very clean. Close to wyalusing state park!

Restaurant and bar was closed. Guests were not aloud to use the breakfast room after breakfast. We booked 4 rooms and had no where other than the pool to be together due to the restaurant being closed. The front desk woman was not very friendly about it. Cost to use the room $65. Sat empty the entire time we were there- go figure.

Not all beds are the same. My first stay, the bed was a dream! Beyond comfortable, I bought a different bed for my home. My second stay, the bed was a worn down spring mattress. I tossed and turned ALL night. I'm not exaggerating either, I kept my poor family awake too.

See above. Also, there were food crumbs under the chair and under the cusions to the fold out couch.

Most of the staff was very nice and the facility was nice.

The young woman working in the pool area was repeatedly doing a dangerous activity. She had already hurt one child (to which she laughed when it happened). We asked her to stop before anyone else was hurt and she was argumentative and rude. I don’t expect much from a teenager probably making minimum wage but I do expect staff not to put my kids in danger.

I liked that it is located 5-10 minutes from downtown. Very quiet & clean. Buckhorn Bar & Grill with the hotel has very good salads, pizza, bar food. After 7 hours of travel on motorcycles, it was just perfect!

The coffee served at the breakfast bar wasn’t very good.

the pool is really nice for young kids though they are in need of a replastering. Breakfast is good, hot and cold food are both delicious.

I booked a two queen beds room but got a King bedroom and the front desk told me we were "UPGRADED" because they are fully booked. I was forced to share the bed with two kids, not fun at all.
