Hampton Inn & Suites Green River

The breakfast was good-all the items you normally would expect at a complimentary breakfast. The coffee was hot and fresh and was refilled often. The room was comfortable and clean and had a refrigerator and a microwave. The front desk person recommended several restaurants that would be open on this Sunday night. We appreciated that a lot.

We were on the second floor and the guests directly above us had one or two children who ran back and forth non-stop for about 20 minutes. It was a constant rumbling and we were very tired from our long drive. If they hadn't stopped I would have called the front desk. I know the hotel isn't responsible for thin ceilings but I'm sure glad the noise didn't continue for longer.

Many hotels offer a complementary breakfast; however, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this Hampton Inn & Suites had a complementary dinner, which is offered Monday through Thursday. The dinner for the night was chicken and pasta along with salad, bread, and warm chocolate chip cookies. The cookies were very popular as the person in charge had to re-supply the plate several times. They were yummy! The previous night was roast and rice.

Everything was great. We had a problem with our hair dryer and they replaced it immediately. All the staff was very nice and helpful.

You can hear the trucks and cars on the freeway. That’s the only thing I can say that was “wrong” with the hotel. The noise from the freeway wasn’t super bad.

Beds were very comfortable. Liked the room layout. My husband retires to bed before I do, and the layout enabled me to watch TV without the screen lighting up his end of the room. To accommodate our issue below, the staff was quick to offer to move us to another room.

We were on the top floor next to the A/C compressor. Once we were both in bed, I t was so loud, we had to request a different room. It was a big inconvenience to get dressed again, and gather up all of our belongings.

Green River is a beautiful spot. We really enjoyed hiking to the rocks behind the hotel. Breakfast was above normal fare.

The staff. When we questioned the price that we were charged vs the price when we reserved the hotel we were told to “read the sign”. charged for “incidentals”. “ extra will drop off”. It was just unsettling. Also the room wasn’t as clean. Sticky refrigerator door, light bulb burned out, lack of hand soap, pen, paper. Just expecting more from Hampton.

The hotel was nice. They had a very good hot breakfast in the morning. The fitness center was good.

Front desk staff could maybe take a class on how to act friendlier, but maybe they are just bitter about being stuck in Green River. We had some issues with some very visible red stains on our door and wall that we will just say they were food, however the maintenance man who came to clean it was very professional and friendly. Hotel sits in a beautiful location although sits quite a ways from any restaurants.

The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. There was patio with a nice view which we would have used if it had been warmer. The hotel is quiet and a great place to get a good night's sleep after a long day's drive. The hotel provided free dinner which wasn't great but convenient as we were exhausted from driving all day.

The location was not a problem for us as we had a car,but if we hadn't finding food would be difficult.

Staff was friendly and attentive. The view of the bluffs was outstanding, both from the room in front of the hotel and the back part of the hotel where the patio and pool area. The pool and hot tub area was gorgeous with windows to the bluffs, large, well kept and hardly used. Parking was ample and accommodating for those towing trailers or in RVs. Breakfast seating area was nice and spread out.

I purchased something at the snack bar from the front desk the evening of our stay. The next day there were three extra charges that showed up on my credit card that I did not make. On checkout the front desk tried very hard to figure it out to no avail, but good effort. They had the manager call the next day business day. She explained it was some sort of weird hold the system put on my card as if for future incidentals, like when you check in. It hadn't cleared out of the system after my one purchase apparently. Quite odd but she was "on it" and the charges were backed out immediately with no further problems.

This hotel was located in a very unique and attractive geographical area. We arrived very late afternoon and there was a complementary hot spaghetti dinner provided in addition to an excellent hot breakfast the next morning. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean. While we did not get a chance to see any wild horses they had definitely been in the canyon very recently they left plenty of evidence up the canyon road if you know what I mean. However we did spot an antelope driving up the canyon road after breakfast. We really enjoyed are short stay and wished we had more time to stay at this hotel and explore the area.
