Tashkent Palace Hotel

it’s a beautiful old building that houses the hotel. although outdated, had a nice feeling to it, people were twice as nice as in better hotels, so big shout to them! location is great for exploring the busy surrounding area.

as mentioned, a bit outdated, breakfast is very basic although tasty. it was a shame that I didn’t had a chance to use the outdoor pool. for some reason, water in the shower was not as hot as I would like.

Staff is very friendly, speedy check in and out, good breakfast, nice balcony in the room

Bathrooms definitely need renovation, very old style and even dirty shower curtain, no shower cabin, only shower in bath, only very-very used towels- totally unacceptable

The staff is amazing, service was on spot, food was good, and central locationl.

I would highly recommend this place if you're going to Tashkent. The location is very central and it is easy to get to pretty much anywhere in the city by foot or by public transport. The breakfast was impressive: there was a huge buffet, featuring Uzbek, European and Asian options as well as omelette and waffle stations. The staff were very friendly and competent. Overall one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Uzbekistan and very good value for money.

This hotel is located amongst parks and museums and is in a very green area of town. The building is stately and classic, and the room balconies are a nice touch. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was excellent. There is a small shop across the street from the hotel that sells water and other things.

The staff were needlessly formal, though they were very helpful. The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from the metro station, though that is the case for many places in Tashkent. The AC did not run at night, so I would wake up sweaty. Also, the handle to my sink came off while I was using it, and the shower head seemed a little old.

The Lotte is a very stately hotel located across the road from the Navoi Theater. The atmosphere is very elegant and formal, and the neighborhood is full of parks and places to eat. The beds are comfy, the television has a number of channels and each room has large glass balcony doors that you can open. There is no room to sit on the balcony, but you can go out there nonetheless. Two free small bottles of water are left in the room daily. The staff are very efficient and were very nice about setting up a COVID test for me to take the day before my departure (make sure to arrange this in advance). The pool area is nice, and there are two ATMS to use in the hotel in addition to an exchange office with limited hours. It was also helpful that they had a bar in the lobby where you could go get a coffee or a drink. Breakfast was lovely with many things on offer.

The HVAC unit inside the room is centrally controlled by the hotel, and they shut it off at night, so you wake up very warm. Even during the day, the air coming out of the unit is not strong and does not really cool the room to a low temperature. My guess is that the system is a swamp cooler, as it did not work at all when it rained outside, though they may have shut off the air once the temperature dropped below a certain level. This is a real shame, as the hotel is very nice, but if you get hot easily, you won't be able to cool off quickly in your room.

It’s in a great location for sightseeing in Tashkent, and close to some great cafes. The breakfast was particularly good, served in a bright, stylish restaurant. It was fun having drinks and something to eat on the rooftop terrace in the evening. The decor is a little brown for my tastes in some areas of the hotel, but I loved the fact that it’s a historic building. The staff were professional yet friendly.

This is a nice 'grand' hotel with some old-world charm in the common areas (..piano in the lobby), also good amenities e.g. a huge gym and nice swimming pool. The room size is good, it's comfortable and clean. Breakfast was really nice - good quality, served in a stately hall, and one of the biggest selection we had during our trips in Uzbekistan.

Some of the elements in the room are a bit dated in style or state - like the desk and chair, or the bathroom. But, must add, everything is clean and in proper working order. The window however was lacking some isolation; it did not manage to close out the street noise properly.

Good Place, with a good location, acceptable wifi and very helpful, positive and friendly people. They have a piano bar. Hotel is old, with a “ Soviet Union” touch. I liked the decadent charm and atmosphere.

The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, fresh and with many choices. Service was also friendly and attentive in the hotel dining room. Location was great and grounds were very nice. The desk staff was also very helpful and friendly. I would stay there again without question. Across the street there is a beautiful theater where we obtained very reasonably priced tickets for a ballet that was outstanding.

There wasn't anything that could have been better.
