Novotel Ha Long Bay Hotel

The view was great. I got late check-out at a discounted price, not too bad.

I was "upgraded" to the beach view but it turned out it was right in front of an open-air club of sorts. This meant the music was so loud I could not sleep until past midnight. On top of this, the a/c system was extremely loud.

this is Novotel at its best and in style. The upgraded bay view room was immaculate. there is a stylishness about top tier hotels and Novotel Halong Bay is no exception.

It would be hard to fault but the bar fridge failed. a repairman was there in minutes to remove and replace.

I don’t usually right reviews but I just wanted to thank everyone at the hotel Especially (Thun ) who went out of her way to help me All the staff was pleasant and spoke good English (which was nice) Food was lovely very clean and comfortable rooms Location was great Amazing view from balcony

Very professional and kind staffs, they offer my family the cute little cake for my daughter's birthday. We highly appreciate that. Great swimming pool which we love the most. The breakfast is ok. The ocean view and the balcony in my room are marvelous. I like the bath tub as well, amazing. Super hotel

All is good and very nice property. The location is also very good. Breakfast was great. Staff is helpful.

Being an international hotel chain, it is expected that hotel staff speak good English so please invest in language skills.

- Very good location with excellent view to the bay and the Sun square which hosts water-music shows a few times per day. - Modern design, clean room with enough in-room facilities - Friendly receptionists, bellmen and restaurant staffs.

- Poor menu for dinner at the restaurant (many dishes on the a-la-carte menu is not available unless you booked beforehand). Another small issue, we ordered a medium rare australian ribeye with 2 kind of sauces and grilled veg. Later they brought for us 2 dishes of grilled veg (each one with 1 kind of sauce) and well done ribeye. However grilled veg dishes are delicious. - Rooms (ours are superior) are not very spacious.

Upper floor rooms have panaromic 270 degree views of Halong Bay rock formations. Though it was raining for 3 days we did not miss the boat trip. The reception ladies are awesome in hospitality and assistance.

The loud music playing across the street stopped at 3am. It's not ideal for tired travelers
