Herston Place Motel

Loved that there was a snack dispenser right next door to our room. Loved that we were on the ground floor and close to both exits. The rooms were basic but had mostly everything that we needed. Loved the walk in shower. The beds were super comfy and sheets clean and fresh.

Would have loved a biscuit! And more milk. The milk provided was not enough for two people to have two or three cups of tea. We were only there for two nights and a day and we did go looking for somewhere to buy more milk but didn't find anywhere within walking distance. So one of us went without. Not a massive issue but did impact on our enjoyment of the stay. Maybe you could put milk and biscuits in the snack dispenser?

The rooms are 4 star - newly renovated, modern, new aircon units, lovely bathrooms, comfy beds, useful kitchenette. We were met at reception by a very friendly smiling fellow. There is a free car park and the location is perfect for enjoying Victoria Park or driving into the CBD or Southbank. We have stayed in many more expensive CBD apartments (paying $40/day to park) but no more...this will be our 'go-to' now!

Customer service. I was not informed there was a full booking already at the time I checked in as I did mention I may need to extend my bookings the next day. Leaving abruptly the next day realizing I could not extend my bookings was stressful.

Location, ease of late checkin, parking.

Needing to get the iron from reception instead of having one in each unit. I arrived after hours so couldn’t get one until the next day. The staff were lovely providing me with one once reception was open.

Room was exactly as pictured, clean & tidy, with microwave, kettle, toaster & fridge. Comfy bed & pillows & a little balcony with view of a green leafy Brisbane. Off road parking & an under $10 Uber ride into the city.

The only problem I had was I could not get the air con to go to warm, but there was a spare blanket & doona in the cupboard, so I was able to sleep warm🤗

We always stay at this motel when visiting the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hopsital because it is convenient, but at the moment the short cuts through to the hospital are cut off, so you have to walk the long way around! The rooms are relatively clean and comfortable.

The fact that internet does not work in the rooms - although this is about to be upgraded - and the TV is very slow to respond to changes in channel etc.

The location was close to the wedding venue at Victoria Park.

Friendly welcome from property manager (Chris)perfect location for our needs, inexpensive, clean and tidy - air conditioning worked well and we had a good nights sleep on beautiful crisp linen sheets. Ticked all the boxes for us 😃

Location was perfect! Had a concert for Suncorp it was convenient to travel to and from. Also easy access to train station and nearby shops. Staff were exceptional. Friendly and easy to get along with.

Manager was friendly & extremely helpful nothing was a problem. For example my sister was unable to use the stairs so he very quickly arranged a room on the ground floor for her.

it was nice and clean and spacious. Beds were super comfortable and staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Microwave was louder than I thought and it woke my partner up haha.
